Zelda Online

This has probably been said a lot of times, but wouldn't a WoW based Zelda game be awesome. We could all the races like the Gerudos, Zoras, Gorons, Deku, Hylians, Sheikahs, Terminas,etc. When the player starts they pick which race they wan't be, Let's say they want to be a Zora. They will have a house on the beach, Underwater, Or somewhere like that. Gorons will live on the mountains and Volcanos. Dekus will live in the forest. Hylians will live in the Castle. Sheikahs will live in umm Sheikahville, I can't remember where they live. Gerudos can live in the desert. The map will be HUGE.If you are a Zora and you're friend is a Goron you can travel to Death Mountain, but thier will be places only Goron can go like in the Volcano, Vice Versa, Gorons can't go underwater, and so on. Different races can wage war on each other if they want, or Zora can be allies with Gerudos and gang up on the Deku, or something along those lines. This would be great on the Wii, so it can take advantage of its free online capatibilities, now doesn't that sound awesome

Well Zelda is an ADVENTURE game, not an RPG...but it would probably be a quite enjoyable experience.

It'll be hot if u create ur own hyrulean and you can buy clothing weapons items and everything and that you could battle others with the TP gameplay, have goron races, have zora races, archery contests and all those minigames that feature zelda games. and make online friends and chat with them by aproaching them and pressing "a" when the a icon says talk................ a hot title for such game will be............... LOZ: Hyrulean Heroes

I would never play it. A WoW based Zelda game would never have the same feel as any other Zelda game.

The only reason Zelda is so popular is because of it's story, gameplay, and other things I cannot name. But the key word was gameplay. Seriously, if Zelda turned into an online game, then the unique gameplay it had, and still has, will be forever gone. What's the point? It would just be another version of WoW.

if there was a game like you suggested, i would rather it be a rpg like Diablo in the sense that it would have great single player which in the zelda series we all love, and it would just happen to have great multiplayer capabilities as well.

If Zelda was online i would play it everyday until my eyes popped out haha

A standard choose your race class ect live in Hyrule, not be the Hero, would be interesting

I think this would be a good idea, though it won't be a proper zelda game. Unlike the others you will have to play with lots and lots and lots of links, and that will be a bit stupid.

No way I would play it. A WoW based Zelda game isn't a Zelda game. It's just WoW with Zelda characters and sure it might be enjoyable but not if you think Zelda is perfect the way it is like me. Personnally I'd hate it and blow myself up along with the factory creating not.(not really but yeah...you know)

ovrall it is a pretty good concept i like it, very similar to this A few questions. only it wouldnt require any dice work. to have a Hylian, a goron a zora and possible a shiekah or gerudo all adventuring at the same time, would be cool, but i dont think Nintendo would do it.

they could however prehaps license someone else of fair reknown for making quality RPG games to do it, like Bioware Corp the famed creators of many computerised Dungeons and Dragons games like Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale and Neverwinter nights or possibly Blizzard Entertainment, famed creators of Diablo, but i dont think Nintendo would do that, they are very attached to their products it kinda seems like either they make anaother game in a series, or a spinoff or they dont, i dont really recall any game series that Nintendo has allowed other company to make games for (but there is probalby some or not)


the only really problem i can see is most if not all people would only go Hylian and make their char look like Link. other than that yeh i would give it a go.

I would love a Zelda MMORPG. Only thing is that Nintendo would have to "re-invent" the MMORPG genre and make it more Zelda-like.

The only way I think Zelda would be good online is if they put 4 swords adventures online.

Do you know how much server costs are? It would have to be pay to play to be profitable. If it's not profitable, it closes down. ~$10/month is not hard to come by these days...

Diablo was free, Diablo2 was free, diablo LOD was free, Guild wars was free, Baldur's gate was free all of these games made a profit.

but yeh it would more than likely be pay to play, which sucks
