Zelda's Link Teaming with FF7's Cloud !!! How awesome could that be ??

It is an just an Idea I made up .......at least yet ...

How Awesome do you think it'll be If Square-enix teamed up with nintendo, and produced an epic title having Link and Cloud from FF7 playing together in a new title ( it'll be a unique Action-adventure-RPG game) and it will contain dozens of square-enix's cut scenes and solid gameplay from Nintendo's side. And It will be a launch title for Nintendo's next gen console and it will make full use of the next insane controller (even crazier than the Wiimote)

And for the Time issue, I know the FF is based on a cyberpunk style and more futuristic, but I was thinking to solve this .... by having Cloud Traveling through a time portal and jumping into hyrule, and meets Link there, and Clouds trys to get a way to return to his own time and world... ( I am talking about a strict movie-like story line here)

Those two heroes , Link and Cloud Strife are probably the most loved characters in the two best series in the video game industry, i.e. Zelda and the Final Fantasy franchise (you can't go better). If this happened, we'll see a massive fan base from combining FF fans with Zelda fans, I think it will be mind blowing .... Do you agree ??

I have much more ideas regarding this ..... tell me if u want to read more ideas ...


Here is a Rough example : -

Cloud Rides his motorbike as seen in Advent children, Drives through a dark tunnel ... Something goes wrong ... and it appears that the tunnel was actually a time portal .... while cloud proceeds in the tunnel the ground suddenly changed from Tar ... to ... a rough terrain ... and cloud sees bright light coming out of the end of the tunnel .... Suddenly .. the road changes to water ... and it appears that the other side of the tunnel is actually a waterfall in Hyrule .. Cloud falls of the waterfall with his bike right into the bottom of the waterfall ..... few feets away where the river calms down a bit ... Princess Zelda was taking some water from the river ... but she was shocked with the whole scene she saw..... and then cloud gets out of the water ... he sees Zelda ... Zelda sees him .... and no one knows what the hell happened .... of course cloud is carrying his sword .... meanwhile ... Link spots cloud with a sword looking at Zelda from the distance ... and Runs as fast as he can to save Zelda from this mysterious enemy with a large sword ... well .. Link and cloud fight a bit ... but then they settle once they realize it was a whole misunderstanding ...... and they become sort of friends .... and you keep going with the story ........

Well ... it might sound rubbish ... but somehow when I visualize everything with top notch cgi animation scene .... I just can't help but think that it is a brilliant idea ...


you may disagree .... but then .... everyone has his opinion .. right ??

and Please ... don't hate me for this ... it is just an Idea .. for God's sake !! ...

I love both series... independantly. I would never like to see them combined. They are much too different (FF being half futuristic and Zelda.. not so much).

Zelda and FF fans wouldn't combine, they'd just whine about the downfall of the 2 series.

well, actually ... i meant the two characters only ... and borrowing the strongest elements of the two games, and I didn't mean combining , as in, there will be no more new Zelda only games .... and For the time gap thing, I was thinking if they can use the time travel element to it , to make it work ... for example, Cloud jumps into hyrule after entering a time portal by mistake ?? maybe ??

However, everybody has his own idea ... though I still insist if this was done in a certain way ... It might turn out to be good stuff imo ....

I was just giving some Ideas you know !! ... it is not like it will actually happen !
and it could be a one game project .....

Zelda is zelda, and is nothing like FF. FF is ff, and is nothing like zelda, combine the two, and I will kill everybody on the production team.

They both take place in two entirely different worlds (more like universes). It would cause too many inconsistencies and problems for both franchises. Unless some sort of fan decides to create featuring both Link and Cloud; the idea of this game will most likely never come to be.

Here is an example ...

You seem to be forgetting that Square did something similar with kingdom hearts .... they teamed up with Disney ???!! .... and it worked out well... So now ur telling me that link can't team up with them as well ??

it would only work if it was in some fighting game or something, and eve nthat could be construed as a stretch other than that no leave the two franchises seperate or like Jayolorin and probably several other stick to fan fic.

Yeah they could go together in a SSBros. type game but even then they wouldn't be that good together. I think it'd be like Marth or Roy in SSBM, they just don't seem to fit in with the rest of the gang.

the game could have been cool, if link stabbed cloud and him and zelda walked away, a short game - but no harm done

Square and nintendo could team up and make a game similar to Super Smash Bros, that would be sweet. But thats all.
Oh and don't hate the poor guy he just stated his own idea.....sigh...the society today
