Saving Your Game in TP? Hope its not like MM

I was wondering if anyone knows if we'll be able to save our game at any time by just pausing it and hitting save - like in OOT & WW? I hope so. I hope its not like in MM where you have to hunt down something in order to save (Owl Statue). Anyone know for sure?

Yes, TP has a save system skin to OoT and tWW

Save points.... that adds to the difficulty and make you extemly cautious of things. (Matroid killed me with that!) But they don't belong in Zelda, not most anyway.

But to answer your question, yes, you can save anytime.

According to a previous post, there is even a dungeon item that (although horribly ugly) may save at the dungeon spot you are at.

Yes, It´s like in OoT. Like in WW, more accurately (exactly the same than in WW... that is).

And, I´ve read somewhere that there will be certain parts in the game in wich you´ll be unable to save your game, quite unconventional, but we´ll see... don´t remember the source, I think that in here: Gamerz´s review
But I´m not sure... don´t ask.

It´s called Ooccoo, quite a perturbing fella (half man half cucco...). When you "use" it, you go out of the dungeon, and can return to exact same spot from where you left. I´m not sure if anything regarding saving the game is relationed with Ooccoo...

the only reason there was save points in MM is cuz the game had a unique time scheme with the whole 3 day thing and couldnt save the exact point in time from the start menu

Yea thats a relief. Thats the whole reason why I never really got into MM very much. I always hated how you couldn't save your game whenever you wanted. That ruined the game for me. It was a huge pain and inconveince trying to hunt down an owl statue ervery time you had to turn it off.

It was an annoyance but you could always warp to an owl whenever you were ready to save. It wasn't bad enough to ruin the game IMO.

I don't know... maunual saving doesn't feel like you're "saving". Save spots feels much better, but it's true that you want to save whenever you want.

Re: Saving Your Game in TP? Hope its not like MM

The one reason why I hate MM is because of its saving system. I hope that the people at Nintendo realized this flaw in the gameplay and changed the saving system back to its original way in OOT, and even in WW.

I have save points, but Prince of Persia has save points, and they worked really well.

As it's been stated, it's confirmed the save system from OoT and WW are used in TP. Nothing to worry about.

That's why there was a song to warp to an owl statue anytime you wanted. Didn't you make it that far in the game? It was one of the first songs you got.. if not the first?
