How much will the Wii be in Canada and where is the cheapest place to get it?

i'm looking to buy a wii and a tp but i'm on a limited budget. if someone who's in the same predicment i'm in plz let me know (i live in toronto if that helps)

also where can i sell such things as a scooter, 2 cell phones, ipod nano etc

I'm not sure which gaming stores you have in Canada. But you should have a GameStop. Just check online where your closet store is, then pre-order it.

No gamestop in Canada. All we have is EB games. And the wii will be $280 canadian I believe and I really doubt there will be a price difference between walmart or best buy or anywhere else. Plus Ontario has 14% tax.

Best Buy, Futureshop, Wallmart, Zellers, etc. They will all be within a dollar of each other so just get it at the closest store I say. Assuming the system is 279.99 and the game is 59.99 the total cost with taxes in Ontario will bring you to $387.58 for a Wii and Twilight Princess.

Here's the math for you assuming you are living in Ontario so you have to pay 14% tax.

($279.99 + $59.99) * 1.14
= ($339.98) * 1.14
= $387.58 with sales tax included

You can sell the things you specified at a Cash Converters store but you don't get much in return when you sell things like that unfortunately. They rip people off (as do thrift stores in general).

If tax is 14% it will be a little more than that, probably closer to $400.

Tax here is 13.5%, but since the original pricing of the Wii compared to the U.S price is $280, then yeah it'll come out to almost $320. sux I know...

Ya, stupid Canadian taxes, its a knee in the package if you've ever seen that before.

Which is why I'm getting it for Chrismas good ol' Christmas. But ya, its 280 plus that stupid 15% tax which is really stupid.

My friend said that if I get it in the states, even if I have Canadian money, it'll come up cheaper. Its 250 there I think and like 7% tax, then the Canadian dollar is 90cents I think now or somewhere around there, I'm no good at math someone else can do it.

Does anyone know how much Duty is? Because apprently it is going to cost $294 with Canadian money with the US prices so now I need to know how much duty and stuff is.

Dont get it from the states cuz your gonna get shafted, unless you get someone you know to cross the border with it its not worth it at all. Trust me I order many things from the US for Ski Racing and what happens is that they make you pay duty fees (round 5-10% depending on the price of the item) then a brokerage fee (if you have it shipped from the US) its like 40$ and then on top of that you pay the whole freaking canadian sales tax... (a downhill suit that was 500$ USD ended up costing me around 800$ more or less) soooo yea unless you have a friend or family who is willing to cross the borded and lie to the customs well... Its not worth it.
