Would you like to see a LoZ remake?

I was wondering about what you would think about Nintendo remaking the original Zelda. They've already ready remade the original Metroid into Metroid: Zero Mission. It even had a lil suprize on the end....well maybe it wasn't so little. But still, it was a great game despite that it was a remake. I think that it would be awesome for nintendo to remake LoZ with TP graphics or with TMC graphics if they wanted to keep it 2D. It could also have a selection of equipment from all the Zelda games made so far. It also would be fun to have discrete camios by everyone's favorite characters from the series. They could call it "The Legend of Zelda: New Beginnings" or something like that. It could be great if done right.

Re: Would you like to see a LoZ remake?

I like your idea. IMO they should redo the old 2D dungeons from LoZ and ALttP (Maybe even LA?) in 3D and release it as downloadable add-on content for TP

well...the original Zelda could be remade into ALTTP graphics...MC not so much, im not really a fan of the cell shaded thing. i liked WW and MC dont get me wrong i bought them and played them and their both good games but the original deserves the real deal. realistic i mean.

A remake of LoZ was what many people thought TP was when it was first announced at E3 2004.

If they were going to make it realistic then they should just remake it with TP graphics. I suggested MC if they were going to keep it 2D because MC is the best looking portable Zelda to date imo. If they updated the ALttP sprites to take advantange of the DS/GBA's more powerful hardware I would be fine with it.

Re: Would you like to see a LoZ remake?

If they were to remake it I'd want it remade like LttP/MC, not in 3D. If they're going to make more 3D games I want original adventures, not remakes (even though it'd feel like a new adventure anyway...).

I wouldn't want it to look like tMC, I wouldn't want it to look like LttP either, I'd want it somewhere in the middle. Obviously you'd have to put in more items, but I'd still want all the orignal items, because if they're going to remake the game, I'd still want them to stay close to the original.

I don't think it'd work nearly as well as Zero Mission though. Metroid Fusion still followed the same formula with little changes when compaired to the original Metroid... LoZ and LttP and MC all have the same gameplay style, but the latter 2 are worlds apart from the orignal in terms of formula.

Yes if they were to make LOZ in 3d that would be awsome. I would have the graphics be TP style. That would be sweet.

Re: Would you like to see a LoZ remake?

not really sure, the old games are classics, shouldnt dwell in the past, leave them be.
but seeing them in 3d would be cool. but i think i would prefer they remain the way the are. Nintendo can just make new games. cant wait for TP

Why don't you tell that to the overload of OoT fanboys who have been crying about direct OoT sequels since 1998?

I think remakes is a great idea to give life to an old classic. But now that the virtual console is here, I don't think it's necessary to make remakes. It would be fun though to see old 2D games being remade in 3D. They could even use the old OoT/MM engine to make it work (and save resources).

Re: Would you like to see a LoZ remake?

As I hhave said before I think that if aLttP was in 3d it could beat OoT for everyones favorite game out so far (I can't say about TP because its not out yet) but I would love to see aLttP in 3d in my head it would own all the other games

Re: Would you like to see a LoZ remake?

I think a 3-D remake of the original Legend of Zelda would be fun, but honestly, I wouldn't want it in Twilight Princess graphics. Actually, I'd like it done with cel shading. Not Wind Waker cel shading. I just mean cel shading for the coloring. The 3-D models would boast much more of a resemblence to the official art of the original NES game, like the stuff you see in the player's manuals and guides. A 3-D version of that, with a bird's eye view to keep to the original NES games' basic gameplay formula.

What I'd also like to see is aLttP remade similarly, but again, cel-shaded coloring on models based on aLttP's official art. This one could be made with a OoT-style engine like all of the other existing 3-D Zeldas are. Fully animated 3-D cutscenes and orchestrated music would be a definite plus.

Re: Would you like to see a LoZ remake?

Not really. It's a classic. It doesn't NEED a remake. Nor does it even want a remake. It's fine how it is.
