Re: The Guide Book!

I will never glance at the guide book (or any strategy guide somewhere on internet), untill I finish EVERYTHING. Yes, not after beating the game once, but getting EVERYTHING, just as in OoT, and others. It´s just too good to leave it pass by with TP. I mean, TP!

Re: The Guide Book!

If I ever acctually did get the stradegy guide for TP, I'd be for the mere sake of times where I absolutely CAN'T get through a certain point of the game, as I rarely use the stradegy guides that I get, anyway. Also I'd get it for the artwork. Yay, artwork.

Re: The Guide Book!

Guidebooks are things that I use for games like Final Fantasy. Not Legend of Zelda.

I can create my own mental strategy guide by running through the game a couple of times, exploring every corner of the land, and remembering everything that I did.

Re: The Guide Book!

Certainly not, I intend to explore Hyrule myself and to find all its secrets without cheating. A guide would spoil the fun and you wouldn't have as much satisfaction in finding that last Heart Piece, or solving a puzzle in a Dungeon.

Re: The Guide Book!

I am going to buy the guidebook. But I will use it only if I am hopelessly stuck for a long long time.

Re: The Guide Book!

As with all past releases I will get the guidebook with the game (if it's out), I will then beat the game, then immediately replay it getting all the heart pieces and such with the help of the guide.

Re: The Guide Book!

I'm going to be one of those people that somehow manages to complete it 100% right before my brother gives up and buys the strategy guide. Somehow this happens every time I get a Zelda game.

Couldn't have said it better myself, really.

Personally, though, I don't think I'll use the guide. If I ever get so stuck that the game is no longer enjoyable I'll just use gamefaqs to get past that particular part and continue on my way, guideless.

Re: The Guide Book!

I don't think I'm getting the guidebook with TP. I want to complete this game 100% without the need of any help. This will probably be the only game I'll be playing for a while anyways (that is, until I get some good Xbox 360 games)...

Re: The Guide Book!

As I said before, the complete satisfaction or "experience" is made by uncovering everything by your own means. Without a guide, for the slowest ones. If I get stuck on some place or puzzle, I will go do something else, or just explore or go walking to the field, lake, anything. Then, all of the sudden, I would wake up with the solution. As with OoT some time ago and MM.

i didn´t had any problem like this with WW, but I think that WW was plain too easy even in this matter. TP hopefully gives us a great challenge in everything.

Re: The Guide Book!

Why would anyone want a stickin' guide-book! It ruins the whole experience...I'd rather be stupidly stubborn than bye or read anything on-line.

Re: The Guide Book!

I'll probably just use Gamefaqs to get through the game. Those guidebooks can be pretty expensive and I'll probably bbe broke after buying Twilight Princess.

Re: The Guide Book!

Actually, come to think of it, a guide book sometimes offers some pretty nice eye candies. You would see pictures and images of bosses, enemies, levels, etc. Although you'll also be seeing the guide on how to beat each level as you flip through pages just admiring the artwork.

Yea no real point buying guide books anymore unless you want it to collect. Gamefaqs has all you need.

i'll buy it, but i won't use it for the game itself, it's more for the art, and overseeing the whole story again, once i finish it.
