There never was an annoucement that there will be another Wii game. Eiji just said "TP is the last Zelda as it is" and people are speculating that all Zelda games to come will feature Wii controls. Personally I think its a load of crap and that Eiji meant that the entire gameplay system of Zelda will be changed( Turn-based perhaps?)

Zelda will never be turn based. Would you even want it to be?

Re: Another Zelda After Tp?

Zelda would be completely destroyed if it became a turn-based game. I heard Eiji say he wanted Zelda games to be controlled more like Phantom Hourglass from this point forward, maybe that's what he meant?

I'd like to join in too.

TURN BASED?? O God no, I can almost guarantee nothing so horrible as that will ever happen to Zelda. They were more than likely talking about controls since they'll never go back to the old way if the Wii is successful.

Re: Another Zelda After Tp?

I think he is refering to the fact that Zelda needs something completely new and fresh, like the jump from 2D to 3D.

Also, there will be more Zelda games - They can't release a new game system, Wii, without making a completely new Zelda adventure for it. That would be foolish on their part.

Re: Another Zelda After Tp?

I'm sure that ZWii will be 3D, but like senap said, it will be much more fresh than say, tWW. expect a paradigm shift in gameplay this time around. I guess a good example would actually be TP and it's depature from traditional 2D zelda gameplay.

There is suppose to be Zelda Wii. But of course that is a long way off, but it will come one day.

Ok, looks like you've forgotten quite alot. Twilight Princess was first set for release for November 2005. That's nearly a whole year ago. What he meant was Twilight Princess would be the last Zelda game to use a normal controller to control Link. That interview was a mighty long time ago now. So the true and fact now is Wind Waker was the last Zelda game of that kind. Since TP is now using the Wii-Mote.

And there is a Zelda Wii coming, it was announced quite awhile after TP. It's just been lost because Nintendo are so busy with the Wii and TP.

Re: Another Zelda After Tp?

Well TP is using the Wii-mote for sword controls now, so I don't know how this can be the last zelda of it's kind? At the time of that quote, the Wii version wasn't using the motion-sensing sword controls, but now it is. So TP is pretty much already what the "new" zeldas will be like.

TP has been VERY long in development, and after it's release, I don't expect Nintendo to even announce a new Wii Zelda for at least a full year.

Re: Another Zelda After Tp?

It just wouldnt feel like a true Zelda game if you had to stop and take turns everytime you faced an enemy. I mean do you know how long some of the temples would take if you had to stop everytime you ran into a stupid flaming bat or a chu chu or some other small creature you could choose to just ignore! That would kill the whole experience for me honestly
