Lack of TP presence at Leipzig's GC

Perhaps the last big oppurtunity to show of Twilight Princess before release, Nintendo has opted not to show the game at the German Game Conference in Leipzig. With a new control scheme that brings up many questions, do you think that this is a wise decision? Do you think we'll see any more of TP in playable form before its launch?

I'm personally a little concerned about the new control scheme without Cassamassina's "O.K.". What are your reactions?

I admit I had my hopes up that something big would come from this conference especially after their announcement on monday. But there's still time yet. Nintendo has something planned for Sept. 14th, what it is I'm not completely sure. Then there's the Tokyo Game Show on the 22nd. Not to mention the Fusion tour that runs for around 2 months.

So they still have plenty of time to show it off. I expect them now to pick some radom day to tell the world of their big plans instead of waiting for a media circus to give us a date.

Perhaps there is still hope? What are you hoping to see?

I personally want to see how the new control scheme works, as well as how wolf gameplay works and how the Wiimote is planning to be used for it.

On top of seeing a demonstration of these new fangled controls I'd like to know when we're going to be getting it.

As said in a previous thread, the world doesn't really need any more Twilight Princess info. Sure, it might be nice to have a new video or screenshots, but too much of those things and they might give too much away.

BUT! As Citizen said it would be nice to see a demonstration of the new controls with the sword... and perhaps an announcement that you will be able to change the controls to your preference. But no more story details, please...

I agree, they should continue to be really tight-lipped about the story. There are just so many aspects of the game that remain a mystery right now, and I at least want some sort of indication that they aren't going to ruin the experience. I still don't quite trust the whole idea of wolf transformation yet.

I don't really mind, personally I feel that I've seen enough about the game and I don't want anything more spoiled from this point on, except for the release date of course >.>.

I wasn't dissapointed either by the lack of news, because I wasn't expecting anything in the first place. It's the best thing you can do. Don't expect anything new anymore and if something new would happen to pop up you'll be a lot more happy for it =) And if nothing turns up, then you shouldn't be dissapointed since you weren't expecting something in the first place

I heard from Mr. Spork that Nintendo's not even going to be at TGS...Which is weird, since you'd think they'd want to show off at the show's that in their own backyard... Maybe that's why they're talking abut Sept 14. *shrugs*
btw, why is part of that Nintendo Invite blurred? Is it because of it having like Matt's address or something?

Matt's address and the address of the event, I would assume.

Actually Nintendo seem to be quite fond of it. They've even gone as far as saying that through the game Link will be finding strange things about himself. Such as why he is so special as being the only one who transforms in the Twilight. That would be one of the things included in the splot Pl0X?
