Navi in PH

Do you think that the fairy in Phantom Hourglass will be Navi? if so, are you happy or sad...... i think it is Navi, because Link never found her, assuming it was Navi he was looking for in MM, and i also think that the PH world will be flooded Termina, which is where Link was looking for Navi. but i kinda hope its not Navi, just cause shes sooo annoying. oh well. what do you think?

Ahem. PH is a direct sequel to WW so it can't take place in a flooded Termina. I doubt the fairies live hundreds of years so I think Navi is pretty much dead by the time the game takes place.

Yeah i agree with Uncle meat (Intresting Name) It has been confirmed (i think) that PH is a sequel to WW so seein as you did'nt have a fairy in WW its unlikely that Navi will appear in PH..

When it comes to mystical creatures/races, it's pretty hard to determine how long one can actually live. In most mystical stories, elves can live for hundreds of years but they can still die at the end of a blade. In my eyes, Hylians are more like the Elves we hear in folk lore. Now when it comes to fairies, their lives are usually tied to the Forrest/Meadow they are tied to. If the Forrest/Meadow is destroyed, so are all of the fairies that came from it (just take a look at Fern Gully as an example).

Take a look at Ganondorf, he lived for over a hundred years (and it looks like he hasn't aged a bit). Hyrule is made up of many different races. It's quite hard to determine how long each race can live. Just because we are human, it doesn't mean everybody else has our lifetime expentency(sp?) of 70+ years.

I say that is Navi.

Well, my theory on that is that Ganon freezes everytime he is sealed/killed. And I think that the fairy in PH is a different one, she's orange unlike Navi.

i know that PH is a direct sequel to WW. Remember that at the end of WW Link and tetra sail away in search of a place to start a new hyrule. i think that they sail over the boundries of the hyrulian Great Sea into a whole new part of the Great Sea in PH. and Link does have a fairy in PH that looks and awful like Navi. Plus i think fairies probably live forever.

If that's the case, it's possiable that it could finally be Navi again. Personally, I wouldn't really care if it were Navi or not, it would be kinda cool if it were...Therefore it would solve the enitire "what happened to Navi?" thing... But anyway,
Yeah, it seems quite possiable that this could be Navi again, but it's also very possiable that it's just another ol' fairy for Link to have...

a) there is NO way Navi can be in PH. It wouldnt make sense if she was
b) there are many threads about this same exact subject already
c) this should be under the "Future Zelda" section of the forums

^ and that contributed to this thread how? I don't think it could be Navi, it jsut doesn't make sense. Navi is not in WW, and the PH is right after WW ends. Therefore, he would have to find Navi before PH, or find her in the beggining of the game. I don't think that reintroducing Navi would be something they do in the opening scene, so it would have to involove Link finding her in the beggining of teh game. I don't think that will happen, I think that Navi is gone to be forever in OoT history.

I think it would be cool if it was navi. But I'd kinda feel bad for her since the link she was with is obviously gone.

I believe it is Navi. As BGS said, just because humans have a lifespan of no longer than 100-something, doesn't mystical creatures can't. I believe, that since the Kokiri Forest (albeit under a new name) is still aorund, and the Deku tree is the OoT Sprout, Navi should very well still be alive. There's a 50/50 chance of it being Navi. And a 50.50 chance of not being Navi.

I hope it is.

I don't see why Link can't have a fairy. I think it suits him. I've gotten used to seeing him with a fairy, but I've only played the N64 Zelda games, so...
