TP-One more delay?

http://boards.ign.com/legend_of_zeld.../123962975/p1/

I just stumbled across that and it scared the hell out of me. I really hope it's not true.

There are always rumors all over the place. I doubt TP will be delayed any more. Nintendo has had plenty of time to make TP. They said they'll release TP the same day as the Wii. If they delay it, then they delay it. If they won't, then they won't. Anything is possible. The key thing to do is don't trust a non-official source; ever.

This topic has talked about to death...

Re: TP-One more delay?

You can't put an ounce of trust into posts like this, anyone on any forum can type somthing up like that.

The way it's worded, I'm thinking he simply asked a gamestop or EB manager when he could get his hands on TP, and the manager made up something off the top of her head to get him out of the store.

Yeah

Yeah, video game store employees can say anything, and will, because they know a majority of forums goers a such will unfortunantly take their word as truth. And you know what, if I worked at EB or GS, I would be spreading rumors too.

That could very well of happened. However, I am going to keep an eye on this very closely because I wouldn't be surprised at all if it does turn out to be true.

Re: TP-One more delay?

What a bunch of bull! I don't beleive it for one bit. Nintendo confurmed that Twilight Princess would be released at the same time as the Wii. If they delay TP, then they must be delaying the Wii, and the other lauch titles with it, it impossible.

And even if it IS possible, we still have the GC version. After 2 years of delays, I doubt that their will be another one. Twilight Princess is ready, and it will be the first Player's Choice title for Wii.

Then you are frightened easily, I'm thinking about buying you a "rumor night light"

Anywho, hungry gamer, you made a really interesting speculation, TP becoming the first players choice for the wii, perhaps just 2007 starts nintendo will market TPWii or TPGC at a much lower price, leaving the victor with the 49.99 price.

What do you mean leaving the victor with the 49.99 price?

whichever version of TP sells more will retain the 49.99 price, the version that doesn't sell well will go down to 20 bucks, bargain bin, it wouldn't be a matter of giving the player what they want perse, but a matter of getting the black sheep out of the race.

If only the Wii version is delayed it wont affect me none as I will be getting both games. If they both get delayed, then I will be sad.

After aonuma and miyamoto were so hell bent of confirming that TP was too be released as a launch title, and seeing as how by simply delaying the game once took a chip out of the fanbase, I don't think nintendo is quite frankley stupid enough to delay the game again. Yes, we all want TP to be awesome, but aonuma has had more than enough time to deliver one of the best games ever, give us TP or perhaps aonuma shouldn't be fully in charge of the next zelda title.

Yea I'm not sure why they would announce TP as a launch title for the Wii unless they were 100% sure it would be finished in time. But then again I was just watching this interview from e3 2005 and Aounama and Miyamoto were saying that the plan was to have the game ready for the end of that year and look what happened....a full year later we are still without a date and discussing the possibility of another delay so who knows.

Yes, I can understand your doubt when the november incident occured, but the launch of the Wii is something nintendo considers very serious, and is infact, the only project nintendo cares for at the moment, the DS has been put on the back burner until Wii is out, it's now or nothing, and nintendo knows that. They can't go back on their word this time, they need all the fans they can muster. Nintendo needs our support, and in order to garnish such support, they need to stay true to their word.

Ahh, but we'll soon find out August 23, when Nintendo has it's "Wii Prove our Promise" Interview. Hopefully, we will find out everything then.
