Who do you think the Fairy is? (Phantom Hourglass)

So, who do you think the Fairy is?

Personally, I think it's just a cursor. It didn't seem to talk much. No "Hey!"'s or "Listen!"'s 'round here.

just a new fairy... It seems so, since Navi cant be back...and it has to be something.

in the story of PH it says that link finds a friendly fairy so it cannot be a cursor. I think is a new fairy because its colour is light blue and Navi's colour is well... navi

it did make a few navi-ish sounds in one of the gameplay videos, so I'm not sure...
however, I think it's a new fairy.

The fairy is more then a cursor. It also seems to be a character. In the introduction of Phantom Hourglass, it says that Link is awakened by a fairy's voice.

So apparently, it's defiantly a character. It also acts as a cursor as well. As to whom the fairy actually is; it's not known at this time. I don't think it's Navi, but any theory could be possible. We'll find out when the game actually comes out.

Navi and Tatl were in the OoT and MM games... as we all know
and Phantom Hourglass is a direct sequel to WW, in which Link has no fairy.

so unless Navi got out of the Temple of Time, survived the Flood, lived for hundreds (or thousands) of years, traveled to a new land away from flooded Hyrule, and somehow out of nowhere finds this kid who looks and acts like his old friend Link, who coincidently killed Ganondorf.......I just dont see how it can be Navi at all.

I doubt it's Navi. It could possibly be Navi, if fairys in LoZ can live hundreds of years, but I doubt it's the same character. I don't know, I was never bugged too much by Navi's shouts. I guess you have to concentrate on them.

Anyway, it is probably a new fairy, which Link encounters through some unique shenanigan like in Majora's Mask. Maybe this new fairy agrees to help Link for some reason.

I was stupid enough to think this thread was about TP for a while, so I voted for 'cursor'. But the fairy in PH is obviously more than that. I don't think it's Navi, though. That wouldn't make much sense. But Nintendo's ignored such limitations before, so I suppose anything's possible.

It actually would be very interesting to have that kind of fairy, because the fairies in the Windwaker aren't shaped like the Phantom Hourglass fairies, so there could be a possibility that this is a fairy we already know, even though the chance is small.
It would add extra depth in the story if this fairy is indeed one we already know.

I personally hope it's Tatl. It's most likely a new fairy though.

It'll most definitely be a new fairy. PH takes place hundreds, possibly thousands of years after OOT, so the chances of it being Navi are extremely slim.

I just think its a new fairy. Its blue, so it cant be navi.

Maybe it's tael from majora's mask, who knows? he's also blue, well purple.LOl
But I guess it's just a new fairy caus PH is just 100 decades after MM.

Wouldn't we all like to know.

I prefer it to be navi and strongly believe so. It would kinda make sense.

That would make NO sense. Okay, it's a fairy, but do fairy's live for so long? It would be cool, but even if it is Navi, I think you don't have to expect any cool conversation and memories of past lives of Link. Yes I think it would be just a cursor with a name, that is most Nintendo-like.

Well......there have been Navi coloured fairies before..........

There was a pale blue fairy, in the opening of Four Swords on the GBA, and there was the Spirit of Winter, in Oracle of Seasons.

But it could be Navi, we don't know how long fairies live. It could be possible she mistook TWW Link for the HoT, or joined him out of nostalgia or regret at leaving him.

Or it could be a different fairy. But they could have used different colouring, like Tatl was yellow.
