The Words of Link
I know Link would never have real voice acting, but do you think he will say any little words in TP? You know like Wind Waker and the famous "Come on!" Link may be able to say "Hey," or "Yahoo"... maybe not the Yahoo part but you know what I mean. I think that he might be able to bark or howl as Wolf Link.

Re: The Words of Link
Well there's always a chance that he'll say small words like that when doing certain actions but that's pretty much were it would stay.
The ability to make wolf link howl or bark would be nice. It could be used to call aid from an animal.

Re: The Words of Link
Dear lord I hope not...
Y'know, it wasn't only The Wind Waker where Link said a few small, small things. In Zelda 2, in one of the towns (can't remember which) In one of the houses, at a table, press A and Link says "I found a mirror under the table." True, it was in text, but it was still Link speaking. There was no one else in the room, so it had to be Link. In Ocarina of Time, Link says his name. Wonder what I'm talking about? The first time Link encounters Zelda, she asks him what his name is. Link simply says "Link." How do I know it's Link saying it, and not Zelda saying it as if to confirm what he "said" to her? the font was green. nearly every time Link's name is mentioned, it's in white. or if Navi said it, it would've been light blue. So why was it green at this part? it was Link who said it. That, and the "Come on!" in Wind Waker are really the only times Link ever said anything. You know why Link never truly speaks? Three letters: CD-i. |

I don't think there should be any little sentences from TP Link. It'd be kind of weird to hear it from a deeper voice. Link will apparently be cooperating with animals in this game. But as we've seen, he used music to call to them. So instead of voice callings, we'll hear musical callings. Maybe he'll call to animals by making animals noises, lol.

Re: The Words of Link
^ That would be funny.... To me, it always sounded like he was cursing in oot when he fell/jumped from a high place and got hurt.
I wouldn't mind if Link had a couple of words to say in TP.... but what I would really like is too hear him laugh. Just once. A good, hard laugh at something. |

Re: The Words of Link
Maybe, but it better only have as many voiced lines as the Wind Waker had. Any more and I think I'll kill someone.

Maybe Link could talk during a fight, maybe saying thing like "Die!' or "Did that hurt?"

Re: The Words of Link
Yeah, a little laughter would be great. He should be able to go to the bathroom too. I always asked myself on old Zelda games......How does he go on these long ass adventures and not sit on a toilet once. Well......he should at least be able to pee. I have'nt seen a game where you've actually had to take a s**t. (Except Sims 2.)

Re: The Words of Link
Having Link speak means they would make all the characters speak. It seems better without them speaking. I always liked hearing the noise when you press each passage of text. And I like the grunts, screams and noises better. Having voice actors would also sort of ruin it. Look, Mario can have it. But look where Mario is these days and where Zelda is.....

Re: The Words of Link
Maybe, this time and this time only, with TP, Nintendo could, just for the hype and love of the fans, give Link some sort of famous last words or something along those lines.
Maybe, at the end, one of the main characters, maybe Zelda, asks Link a question relating the the adventure, and Link says it, with that being his only spoken line in the game. This will also be the only point in the game where there is true voice acting. Think about how much that would mean in terms of fanservice. If not in this game, maybe some future game. ![]()

Re: The Words of Link
Nah, I like the fact that Link is a quiet, seemingly reserved person. It just seems to suit him, and afterall, it's what we've come to expect from him over the past few years. Giving him taunting text seems to be a little too much like what Dante does in DMC.
I'm happy with him being silent.

Re: The Words of Link
I think that in WW there is a small part with voice acting (If you can call it like that)... When the King of Hyrule touches the Triforce and gives his little speech. I´m not sure if he´s talking or just grunting like all the characters... I think the grunt is more possible. meh.

Re: The Words of Link
I would love it if Link would talk!! That doens't go within the Zelda idea, and you still can imagine being him if he talks. If he should talk, he should have the Zelda Infite's OoT Manga personility. Not the old cartoon's one, that's at least one thing we all agree
But of course, of course Link will have his little words, I hate those words actually and it will nothing special I know now, just Woow Waah and Weeh stuff. Or maybe some CJ-liners: "Sorry but I need this......Coach" Well, maybe just keep it too Woow Waah and Weeh
