TP Camera Control

I remember reading about the camers not being fully controllable like the WW...anybody know anything about the camera situation? It might have been just the Wii version but i'm not sure. Hopefully it's like the WW where you'll have full control with the c stick on the GCN version.

Re: TP Camera Control

This is something I'm wondering about too. Camera control in WW was very playable, though the centre view thing in Ocarina still worked fine. But full camera control provides a more cinematic feel which I loved, you can have close ups or zoom out and get a good look at your surroundings when you want. The only solution I can think of is maybe a toggle camera control button, hold it down and use the analogue on the nun-chuck to manipulate the camera angles?

Re: TP Camera Control

Although it might prove a bit awkward, you could move the camera by holding down the C button on the nunchuck and moving the analog. You could also potentially zoom in and out with the + and - buttons on the Wiimote and I'm going to assume you can still Z target with the Z button.

Yes I'm pretty sure you can still Z target. Can someone confirm this for me? The lock-on should still be in TP.

Yes, it is. It's the bottom button in the nunchuck.

Re: TP Camera Control

So the chances are, there will be WW-style camera control, it will just be harder to access. Well, that makes snese in the context of TSA's post-demo comments about the camera. He mentioned that there will be camera control but it's not as good or as intuitive as WW's.

Re: TP Camera Control

different huh?

Really, I'm fine with no controllable camera. most Zelda games are fine without it. though if it's harder, I might just not use it. I barely ever did , anyways.

-Do not bump threads.-

The camera will either be automatic as seen in the most recent demo, or Nintendo will pull out some magic and allow us to have a controllable camera similar to tWW's without 2 analog sticks.

Perhaps tilting the Wiimote will allow us to move the camera, perhaps the items will move to other buttons and the D-pad will be used for the camera

It think it's more likely that it would be controled by the Wii-mote than having the items moved to other buttons because when you think about it, where would the items be set to?
I think that the camera can be controled by holding the C button on the nunchuck and moving the analog stick. It would kinda suck though having to stop to move the comera.

Yes that could work on the Wii, but how do you think the camera setup will be on the GCN? Why not use the same c-stick control found in the WW? Nintendo more than likely doens't want to have two different camera setups for each version because they did say that both games will be identical other than the wii-mote controls.

Camera control will be like that of OoT or so I imagine, doesn't bother me much.

This is exactly why the camera controls may be different, different controlers means different controls. I believe the WiiMote lacks anything similar to a c stick.

Re: TP Camera Control

i think the camera will work in an identical way to Oot, just press the z button to get the camera behind link, i can't see how thay can make yhe camera to move in the same way it did in ww, in find it hard to do, and if it is posible it would probably be an anoying experience. due to the form the wii mote has.

??.... The camera setup for the GCN, hell, the entire control setup for TPGC is exactly like that of tWW, except this time Z is used for hints/midna.

Nintendo said the games will be identical, the only difference is the controls, and yes, how one controls the camera is part of the controls.. I really don't know what your getting at.

And Zelda may cry, the C, 1 and 2 buttons are all availble for item use, so the camera could very well be switched to the D-pad, hell, they could just use the C button, the less item slots the better, makes the game that much more challenging.

Why would TP camera control be like OOT which was on the N64 and not like WW which was on GCN just like TP is going to be? That makes no sense. Why would the GCN version of TP not use the c-stick camera control like the WW did?

Re: TP Camera Control

Yeah, itīs not so difficult. The GC version will have a camera control similar to WW, and the Wii version not, because of obvious lack of analog sticks. And...ugh ... gah! Iīve got an idea! *ahem*... yea, since you run with the analog stick (from the nunchuka, duh) i see that itīs quite possible to control the camera with the Wiimote. Yea, I know that "navy" is controled with this, but the camera control could be activated by holding a button, maybe from the nunchuka or the Wiimote, itīs the same. Get my point?

Yes, that could happen. I definately do think that TP GCN version should use the same setup as WW. It would be totally ridiculous if it didn't...there's just no reason why it would change. After all, TP's game engine is a modified version of WW's.

But moving the nunchaka around is to perform links spin attack and jabbing it forward is to throw items in your hand such as crates, and jabbing it down performs that jumping stab into an enemy thats on the floor. I guess you could hold a button down and move the nunchaka around...i just moving the wii-mote around as a more viable way of using the camera.
