Final fantasy wasn't put on the list because it was to be used to encode this date, pokemon games could have deserved this 'special' spot just as much with their popularity.

I noticed that too. I also noticed that "game boy advance" is in green instead of black font and has fourteen letters in it. I'm not sure if that is of any significance, though.

Re: Interesting IGN article posted today

And, for Nintendo GameCube owners, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will be available for you this fall. An enhanced version also will be a launch title for Wii. That will all happen on... Oh look, we're out of space.

Fall...Isn't that from September to around Mid-November? Wait a sec...Let me think...

Spring begins (February 3)
Summer begins (May 5 or May 6)
Autumn begins (August 7)
Winter begins (November 6)

Now, isn't the quarters like:

Q1= Janurary, Feburary, March
Q2= April, May, June
Q3= July, August, September
Q4= October, November, December

So, if what the paper says is true, Gamecube owners might be seeing Zelda: Twilight Princess from August 7 to November 6. Since November sticks on Q4, when Nintendo says that the Wii will be launched with the Wii version of TP along with the Gamecube version.

Oct. 9: Clubhouse Games
Oct. 16: Nintendogs (Dalmatian)
Oct. 23: Magical Starsign
Oct. 30: Pokémon Ranger
Oct. 30: Children of Mana
Nov. 6: Elite Beat Agents
Nov. 13: Yoshi's Island 2

Dec. 4: Custom Robo Arena
Dec. 4: Kirby Squeak Squad

I marked the months that contains October and November in green. Since i believe that a release in December will be far too late (The PS3 will be out by then, and doesn't Nintendo want to generate more fans before the PS3 comes out?). I don't know when the PS3 comes out, but that might be an important clue.

So, Fall begins on August 7th and ends on November 6th. Nintendo wants this to be released on Q4, and, as i heard from a poster, that Nintendo often releases games on Sundays...We might see Twilight Princess on November 5, 2006.

Re: Interesting IGN article posted today

fall begins on the 21st of september.

winter on the 21st of december
spring the 21st of march
and summer on the 21st of june

the ps3 releases on the 17th of november. and i don't think the wii will be launched any later then this, especially if they wanna make good sales in the holiday season.

im guessing the wii will launch somewhere between october and half november, the earliest date that it could appear would be 2 october (the most specaluted one.) and the latest it could appear is like the 10th of november, a week before the ps3 and around the end of the fusion tour.

It's not that sony directly decides the release date of the wii, but if Nintendo was smart, they would release the Wii before the PS3, therefore Sony indirectly decides the Wii release date.

If thats all you want then you are going to VERY, VERY DISSAPOINTED. I really don't think TP will be released until after the PS3. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if TP got pushed back into 2007.

TP has been confirmed as a launch title for the wii. nintendo wouldnt release the wii after the
PS3. that would be stupid. i think Nintendos waiting for the latest possible momment to announce the release date to make sure the wii comes out before the PS3. theres no way nintendo would push back TP without a MAJOR reason to do so.

They wouldn't push back TP without a MAJOR reason? You want a MAJOR reason? If TP isn't 100% completed by Nintendos standards I think that qualifies as a major reason. This is Nintendos CROWN JEWEL and they've stated on several different occasions that TP will be the BEST Zelda ever. Thats a lot to live up to and quite frankly with all the work they have put into this game thus far they will delay it again if need be. Nintendo has put so much into this project that you think just because they said it would launch with the Wii they won't go back on their word to insure TP is in fact a masterpiece? Your crazy then...Nintendo will delay TP again if need be. Just because they said it would launch when the Wii launches means absolutely nothing to be honest. When has Nintendo ever been known to keep all of their promises anyway lol.

I think Nintendo also stated after they completed OoT that they would never again put in so much time and resources into one game. If the game wasn't going to be finished then nintendo would have taken it off the launch list long ago.

What launch list? Nintendo actually does not have an OFFICIAL launch list as of yet. They said TP would launch on the same day as the Wii but Nintendo has no OFFICIAL launch posted on their website. I even saw a few days ago on IGN that Nintendo said they haven't released an official launch lineup as of yet. Therefore, everything is subject to change. And that includes TP as well.

Re: Interesting IGN article posted today

no, nintendo has an official launch lineup, all the developers who have said their games are to be released along with the wii launch are by default, launch titles.

whether or not new games will be added to the list is up to discretion, but there is a list of launch titles for the wii at this time, the wii is a big gamble, and nintendo doesn't want any companies to pull their titles and claim delay. Nintendo simply can not have delays with the Wii, not for it's launch, not at all.

you don't understand how big a risk nintendo is taking with the wii, if games people are looking foward to are taken off the launch, like red steel or TP, people simply won't buy the system, Nintendo needs every single consumer they can hold onto. nintendo knows huge profits will be made with TP if it is given to us when promised, as a launch title for the Wii. If it is delayed, people will forget about it, and nintendo can not risk that. Understand that if nintendo fails to deliver their promise, they go under, nintendo can risk that. If a game is said to be a launch title, it sure as hell is.

Thats true but seeing as how TP isn't a Wii-exclusive I think they can get away with delaying it. Maybe delat the Wii version only and have the GCN version come out on time? I don't know.

Is that opimism I hear coming from your mouth??? *holds hand to ear* hm?

well, that could certainly work, but I would only expect perhaps mabey a month more, quite frankly aonuma doesn't need any more time, he's had loads of time, I'm sure around the nintendo office they call aonuma old man because he takes so long to do anything and everything. But even then, the wii controls seen at E3 were pretty solid, perhaps a few new controls here and there, hammer out the camera, E3 up to now is definantly enough time to get all those problems sorted out.

Sure, TP is going to be a massive great game, but it doesn't take 4 years to do something like that, 3.5 years is more than enough time.
