Beauty for granted?

Lush green meadows stretching as far as the eye can see, squirrels and birds playing peacefully among themselves and mountains all lined up on the horizon. Yes, Twilight princess is going to be beautiful alright. But, after watching the trailers, it just hit me. At that moment, I realised how beautiful this game is going to be. Ever since it was announced way back in 2004, I took the breathtaking views and scenery for granted. I was so pre-ocupied with the gameplay and storyline, that i never took the time to see the beauty of it. Just look at this screenshot:

Beautiful isn't it? I bet most people who first saw the screenshot saw Midna first, and payed little attention, to the background. So what about you guys? Did you take it for granted? Or is it something you noticed ever since it was announced?

Re: Beauty for granted?

ya I know, TP is definately going to be beautifull. If you have seen the 4th trailer, you also will see link riding his horse in hyrule field and it's also very natural, there are trees everywhere, mountains, river, etctec. it's not like in ocarina of time where hyrule field is an empty place. And we definately haven't seen everything....

Re: Beauty for granted?

Making up for my lost post! Yes, some of the time, I may have not payed attention to the environment. But there are certain screenshots, such as the one with Link in the fores with the dogs, that makes you pay attention to the environment. Or when Link is swimming through the water. How times have changed. Way back when, environment wasn't a big deal in games. Now, it plays a direct role on the atmosphere of the games.

Re: Beauty for granted?

I have a really good feeling that we can't even grasp the beauty from little still screen shots like this. In real playing and especially on a P-Scan Widescreen TV, the game is going to look absolutely breath-taking.
