Your first impression of Minda

What was your first imression of Minda when you saw her in the trailers?

This belongs under future Zelda.

Anyway, my first impression of Midna was that she was a monster, evil. I don't know why, maybe because of the way she looks.

First impression = O.o What is that?

This state of perplexity lasted long enough to bring me into a reasonable assurance that Midna was good.

I thought it might be Ganondorf or someone really evil to see how strong Link is and to see his weaknesses if he has any. But then i thought it might be Zelda.

My first impression of Midna was that she was evil and the one who chained Link up in the castle.

My first impression was, "What the h-e-double hockey sticks? Who is that?"

And, later on, I sort of got the impression that she is one of the "grey" areas. She doesn't look like a true "Friend" of Link, but she doesn't look all evil and whatnot either...

Somewhere, I heard that, in some interview, she sided with Link for her own benefit, survival, or something like that.

Initial impression wasn't that of which moral extreme does she represent, but rather, that of slight dissapointment.

Midna realy felt like the small/fat/annoying sidekick, the polar opposite in terms of appearance when compared to the main character/hero. Midna is a short pudgy little girl (of course we don't know her age though), while link is a tall handsome late teenage male, and now, when midna and link journey in the twilight, link is a wild ferocious wolf, they couldn't be more different than one another.

Of course, I've never been a fan of cute cuddly characters, at least midna has the evil and alteriour motive aurora around her, which is different and nice for a character of her stature.
Midna has definantly grown on me, I love her now, she really fits in with TP as well as the rest of the zelda series. I'm really excited to learn more about her with the release of TP.

Fat? That's a new way I've seen it... I've always thought it was because of her proportions, smaller character seeming that way...

Anyways, I've always given characters the benefit of the doubt. I agree, it will be interesting to see how she turns out. Actually, I think she will actually make the game better, if not deeper.

I wondered if she was a servant of the Twilight that was turning her back on whoever controlled the Twilight and was going to side with Link and combat her former master.

My first impression was: wow, that character looks weird, even for Zelda standards! Of course, I thought the same thing when I saw the monsters dropping out of the portal. At first everything about the Twilight appeared freaky to me, but as an avid fan of Majora's Mask I was bursting with happiness in no time because of the whole concept behind the game and the way they were creating such an eerie atmosphere this time around.

In the E3 2005 trailer, Midna doesn't look good but she doesn't look evil either. The way the character was presented, first with a grin and then with a smile, made me believe she was something in-between... a dubious creature with a dubious role, someone who can be your best friend and your worst enemy depending on the way things are going... I liked that uneasiness about her and I still do...

I did not think she was particularly evil on first impression' but she is definately not good, does that make sense to you??
She's not good by any means, but she's more like a mysterious spirit that would get you lost in the woods than something that would try to wipe out the inhabitants of the world you know.
Also my first impression was like "whoa cool" o.O
I really don't think she is Ganondorf or Zelda in disguise but more like on of the lesser being from the Twilight that has been released by accident. She was probably always a bit of an underdog and I think she is likely using Link to either get revenge on someone she doesn't like i.e the ruler of the Twilight or just prove she isn't as pathetic as she looks.

First impression:

Hell I dunno what or who the hell that is, but it looks awesome.

In other words I loved her design from the start. I'm all for new freaky designs.

well, my first impression was that she was either zelda in the twilight realm, or she was Zelda possed by Ganon

I thought it was some evil spirit or something.....then I found out she rides on links back...so.....wtf? 0_o

I thought she was good person. but then again, it looked a bit evil so I was a bit confused and excited at thesame time.

When I first saw Midna I thouhgt she looked evil. Even today, I think in the end, she will betray link. After all, she is a bad guy who teams up with Link to battle a greater evil.

When I first saw Midna I was thinking, "Oh god. She's gonna kill Link." But now I think that she is a good character and will help Link in his final battle.
