GORON questions

i know theres probably already been millions of threads about the goron fighting link, if hes just a sparing partner or an actual enemy well since ive seen no posts about the new picture of the goron plated with steel on the ends of his body looking very angry and very much like a warrior i personnaly think that the gorons will be an enemy to link so heres a pic and please post your thoughts.

Re: GORON questions

For the Gorons to be an enemy I'd have to see it to believe it. Here's what we know; in OoT they were friendly and the few in WW were friendly. Since TP takes place between those two games I can only assume that they'll be friendly. He probablly is just a sparing partner or maybe the Twilight has something to do with it.

I agree with Andy, this one is probably just one, the other ones will be normal.

Re: GORON questions

i was watching the video that has the goron siting in the market that sharden had implied and then i realised the little boss scene after the close up on the giant eel/fish creature is suspiciosly the goron in the picture that had started this thread in the first place! to have a look at this click Zelda Cube E3 Trailer at this link http://media.cube.ign.com/media/572/572738/vids_3.html

p.s the goron boss rolls up into a ball like gorons do and on another sidenote it appears that only the gorons with the markings attack link the one in the market (which looks like a normal goron) is perfectly humble like all gorons. what if the gorons with the markings are more agressive and are the reason that there are so few gorons in WW other than the fact that they can't swim for their lives

Re: GORON questions

^Yes that is the Goron mini-boss seen in the official art. I thought we all knew.

Why does everyone believe that an entire race is either good or evil? isn't that a bit simplistic. AndyZX has the right idea: some people are good and some are bad. For a more mature game there are bound to be some differences.

true but isn't it suspicious that only the gorons with markings have had a scrap with link or at least so far...

Re: GORON questions

LionHarted's List of Speculations on Why Link is Fighting a Goron:

1. As a rite-of-passage, to become one of their Sworn Brothers--probably for the sake of gaining access to some shrine or maybe the Mines. Perhaps he'll actually get that Big Goron Hug this time around.
2. Or, even simpler than #1, simply for the sake of gaining access to said shrine or the Mines.
3. To win some prize in some Goron sumo tournament.

Re: GORON questions

I agree with LionHarted I wouldnt believe them to be hostile in anyway, I always thought that you had to first be "accepted" as a friend to them by completing a specific task or objective to gain there respect.

Indeed, I don't know why people are argueing about this. There wil be good Gorons and bad Gorons, fat Gorons and thin Gorons(yeah right)stupid and smart Gorons ETC.

then why arent the transformed they still look like Gorons (like how link turns into a wolf) except for the huge one with iron armor on him although he still looks like a goron only slightly mutated instead of transformed

The baboon didn't transform or anything, and Link is the only one who can.

Re: GORON questions

I remember the official art picture you are talking about, it rocked - I would love to see it again, but cant find it, and the link Darklinks_shadow is giving doesnt work eather. Can somebody post the picture or something? About the Goron: I know its a little corny but we will see it when the game's ready, I dont believe something until I see prove, I hate speculating (maybe a bad thing, if your visiting a forum, where happens almost nothing but speculating), and dont believe the goron's bad or good just because of its look. But if I have to follow my feeling I would say its something like he's hypnotized or cursed or something, or it is indeed a practice or prove fight. (something like Orca from tWW) I would be amazed if it is a new enemy

" Since TP takes place between those 2 games " ? Is this for sure? This is my first post in a few months so maybe I misted something. What is confirmed about the timeline? Can you please tell me a short thing about this or link me to a thread about it?

Nintendo has only mentioned a few times when the game takes place. If I remember right, they said that TP happens a few decades after OoT. That's why there's speculation that we might see the HoT. Sorry I don't have any links, the statement was made at least a year ago.

Re: GORON questions

mean looking isnt he?
but just because he's mean looking, doesnt mean hes mean on the inside...
you ppl are shallow for thinking he's a bad guy just because parts of his limbs are missing.
the grouchy look on his face could only mean he's a grouchy guy with a big heart... (cough*Shrek*cough)
maybe he was in an accident under the mountain
