whats next?

Im probably thinking too far ahead here but it occured to me- what could possibly be after TP and PH? (ignoring the tingle rpg game)

If TP will be the next 3d and PH will be the next 2d game, then what sort of zelda games can we expect to see after they've been out for a year or so?

We all know that both games are very impressive but what will Nintendo do to improve on such awesomeness for future Zelda titles?

Re: whats next?

Nintendo has said that TP will be the last zelda game as we know it. Maybe the same goes to PH? We will just have to see what Nintendo dishes out.

I think "as we know it" refers the series being based in Hyrule. The flood does happen at the end, or shortly after, the end of Twilight Princess.

Re: whats next?

I think we'll see a game designed specifically for the Wii console, maybe something that we can't even imagine right now. But with Nintendo's innovative capabilities it should be much more impressive control wise than what we've seen of the TP Wii port.

Re: whats next?

Yes its been said this is "the last Zelda game in its present form" or something along those lines. Its too early for sure to know what they mean but maybe there will be a dramatic shift in gameplay or something much more significant.

Re: whats next?

I always assumed it meant the last Zelda with the old control system since that statement was made before they turned into a Wii title.

Re: whats next?

I think they are using TP as a tester. Since it's such an extensive game (supposedly 100+ hours and is much larger than OoT), they want to see our reaction to it. If we truly want another game of that length (and other possible new features) then they will be implemented in the next Zelda game.

Me? I'm just hoping the last boss is harder to beat than any enemy I've ever seen in a video game. Ganon was a bust, Majora's mask had the Feirce Deity mask to make it easy, and WW didn't measure up to expectations. So far, I've really been disappointed by the 3d bosses of Zelda. Still, it's not like a truly wonderful game can be truly let down because of one fault, but it makes for an anti-climactic ending, don't you think?

I also think that TP is going to be the shining game for the Wii and GC, like OoT was for the N64. We may not see a game of TP's scope for some time afterwards, so we'd better hope that it lives up to the very idea of awesome that OoT did back then.
