Why DS?

why is zelda on DS? i dont like the DS at all. ok im sure many people just love the DS but i never got into it. Now that PH is coming out i want to get it but i dont really want a DS. If i bought one all id use it for is PH and nothing else. which could be a waste of money. any one else not like the DS but want the zelda game? What would you do?

Why are you asking such a thing that pretty much only bothers you?
I'm kidding! Yes, PH is going on DS, and if you notice, they try to make Zelda Games on every system they can. It has most of the buttons on G-Cube, and the cel-shaded graphics are more suitable, so why not?If DS are expensive to you, just wait until Christmas and ask for one, just like most of us!
And if that doesn't work, just wait until there comes another version of collector's edition and it will be put on another system. Simple as that!

then i really hope they make a collectors ed on Wii.

Zelda=First party video game seires

I don't understand how this is a suprize to you. Of course the next Zelda game would be featuring on the next Nintendo system. The DS is looking pretty good actually. I've played a few games and I really enjoyed it. The DS has a pretty good lineup of games, so I don't mind buying one.

haha, you kinda lose there, don't ya? Well, I'm sure you can live without it, i doubt it will come out on the Wii or anything else since it requires a touch screen..........

i might look at some games for it to try to spark interest. i actually have not looked at info about it at all:embrsd: . i probably shouldve cause i didnt like the remote for Wii until i learned more. but im afraid i might buy a DS and never use it.

edit: i checked the prices and i probably wont get one(too expensive and asking for Wii at x-mas)

There's such a thing as buying and reselling. I was not exactly impressed with the Gamecube at all, only ever brought one just to play Zelda.
I brought a second hand GC for $200, brought wind waker for $50.
Played through wind waker twice, sold 6 months later for $260.

How exactly I made money was a bit crazy, but you could do exactly the same with a DS and PHG.

Yeah, the DS has got alot of attention lately. But zelda has never really been a single System Series. So it will be like this untill Nintendo or Zelda die.

Yeah, the DS's are kinda cool. I did want one at first, but I bought it for Animal Crossing. But, these things can be broken easily. Don't let your siblings touch it if you have any, orif you even buy a DS.

Yeah, but, Phantom Hourglass - as far as I'm aware - is designed specifically around the touch screen, so I don't think we'll be seeing a port of it on any home consoles.

No, I mean the touch screen. My sis has scached it up SO much.

if the price goes down a lot on both(PH and DS) then i'll think about buying it but, its just too much for me to ask for right now(i dont have enough to buy it, already mentioned x-mas)

Probably something that you could've avoided. Make sure you're using a Nintendo-licensed stylus (in other words, NO 3rd party styluses), while, at the same time, not using your fingers or any other foreign objects on the touch screen.

I've actually dropped my ds on our cement garage and it didn't even scratch it. Well maybe a little. Plus, how did your siblings scratch the screen? If they scratched it with something other than a nintendo licensed stylus then you may want to look at the possibility of them doing it on purpose.

Yeah, so keep it away from them because most little kids are jerks and will destroy them.

Because nintendo doesn't yet realize that Wii is better.

Look no disrespect but the Newest portable system from Nintendo/ most popular is the DS they need to give a Zelda game at least one to the DS can you understand why they do that no disrespect?

yeah i understand. if the DS wasnt a lot of money then this would be easier. but im not rich so all i can hope for is the price dropping over time or PH somehow come out on a collectors ed. on the Wii, which is unlikly cause of the touch screen.
