TP Final Boss hypothesis(spoilers?...unsure)

I've noticed a pattern in the games...I'm not counting the Four Swords series.

Title/Boss
  • Legend of Zelda/ Ganon
  • Adventure of Link/ Shadow Link
  • A Link to the Past/ Ganon
  • Link's Adventure/ Nightmare
  • Ocarina of Time/ Ganon
  • Majora's Mask/ Majora
  • Oracle of Ages&Oracle of Seasons/ Veran&Onox
  • The Windwaker/ Ganondorf
  • The Minish Cap/ Vaati

If you look at ever other game starting with LoZ the final boss is almost always Ganon/dorf. My hypothesis is that maybe Ganon/dorf will be the final boss of Twilight Princess?
Observations, confessions, opinions are welcome.

edit: Link's Awakening(thanks Field_Ranger)

Re: TP Final Boss hypothesis(spoilers?...unsure)

It usually goes that every Link has a quest involving Ganon/dorf, Zelda, and the Triforce first, and then a personal sort of quest that has very little to do with the aforementioned three. We already know that Zelda, Ganon, and probably the Triforce is going to be in this game so it's possible the pattern will repeat itself.

LoZ - Triforce quest
AoL - personal quest

ALttP - Triforce quest
LA - personal quest

OoT - Triforce quest
MM - personal quest

TWW - Triforce quest
PH - personal quest

TP - Triforce quest
? - personal quest?

There is a slight problem... The Minish Cap could be counted as a Four Swords game, couldn't it? And in Four Swords Adventure, Ganon is the last boss.

By including the remaining two FS games, the pattern will break even more. If anything, I stick to the theory that the Triforce plays a big role in the game and therefore Ganon should be the ultimate evil guy to slay.

also you failed to mention that ganon is nearly always the boss in console games which are there big, high selling games that people besides zelda nerds and little kids care about. The ones with vaati and all these other bosses are always gameboy games.

TP - Triforce quest/personal quest.

Re: TP Final Boss hypothesis(spoilers?...unsure)

I am 99% sure Ganon/dorf isn't the main villain in Tp, as it has been said by Nintendo Aonuma(sp), Ganon/dorf will be in Tp, but will be playing a different role than he normaly does(being the main villain).

Or maybe he's still the main villain and is playing his role different in a different way.

Re: TP Final Boss hypothesis(spoilers?...unsure)

Hmmm... maybe they are planning to debut a new main villain, one from the wilight world. Maybe he was awakened by Ganondorf and that's his new role.

Re: TP Final Boss hypothesis(spoilers?...unsure)

Truth is, we won't know until the game has actually been released.

By the way, it's "Link's Awakening," not "Link's Adventure."

It's possible that Ganon comes over to the good side this time. Maybe the main villan chalenges even his power?

Re: TP Final Boss hypothesis(spoilers?...unsure)

btw, TMC is actually a FS game.

Anywho, whenever there is to be a really big zelda title, Ganondorf is usually the main villian simply because people will want to see what the master theif looks like in this new setting.

Yes, TMC is part of the FS series, but I think I should have said is I'm not counting the multiplayers.

Good point I may have over looked that.

Nintendo hasn't said what the game's story is it? Right? If/when they say maybe all of yours/my thoughts on the final boss is proven/disproven. Only time will tell. I can't wait.

BTW thanks for the feedback. You all told me stuff I haven't thought of before. Really makes me rethink my hypothesis.
