Help with this pic...

It's been quite a while since I wanted to create this thread, never got around to do so...

A couple of months ago I found this picture at IGN:



I have been staring at this pic for quite a while and haven't noticed much, except that the image on the top-left square somewhat resembles the moon in Majora's Mask, but that's about it. Can someone please explain to me what this is all about?

Has IGN ever heard of, "craters?" It's nothing really. If you see the trailer, Wolf Link howls at the moon. That scene (I suppose) represents Wolf Link, and how good the game looks. I don't know why they spread the rumor about the moon from MM, but it's just craters on the moon to make the game seem realistic.

You misunderstood, I was saying that I noticed something resembling the moon, they haven't made any statements or started any rumors about it, they only supplied the pic.

they supplied it back when rumors were going rampant about Link being a werewolf (before we knew about the Twilight) and they just never got around to taking it down, I guess. It has no signifigance whatsoever anymore.

Ok I see now. Look at the top right one. Does the crater look similar to Din's Pearl dinspearl.gif?

Now look at the top left one. Does it look similar to Farore's Pearl farorespearl.gif (except the dot on the left is facing upward)?

And the bottom...Obviously Nayru's Pearl. I don't know what to think of the moon now...It could a little easter egg the creators put in there, or it could be something important. I have no idea. And we'll most likely never know till TP actually comes out.

Faces don't have two designs of eyes (in fact, people in Zelda games don’t have eye designs at all. Zelda isn’t that realistic right now) Just look at both Din's Pearl and the top tight of the moon (I'm using Din's Pearl as an example because it is the most clear). They resemble each other quite suspiciously, wouldn't you agree? Not a face, but three pearls.

I agree, but the windwaker is meant to be after twilight princess,
so...i dont know what to make of it.. *cries*

Those Link's don't work btw. I really think it's nothing thier just craters, it's really nothing.

Well it does remember the majoras mask moon. This could either be a coincidence, the moon creater subcontiously did this, or it was done on perpose as a little easter egg for majora fans. I think it's th last one.

Haha well,its just some sort of easteregg in the third(I belive) trailer. If you look at the trailer and then pauses(sp?) right before the moon disappears you could actually see a face. Not like in that picture cuz the last square look really wierd. But if it was an easteregg or just a coincidence, I dont know. But I do know that it has nothing to do with the game.

Theres also a thing called having a big immagination if nintendo was going to make the moon have a purpose they would have made the moon have dark eyes and teeth (MM). Plus nintendo has a knack of giving away false hints. such as with link standing behind a werewolf under a coat

Actually, it looks like Majoras mask. The top two could be the eyes, looked that the outline of the white parts. Looks like Majoras Mask...

This is just IGN overanalyzing things and trying to be clever. Trust me. There is no significance to that shot.

I like IGN, but their editorials and speculation suck. In that same article, they also noted that red flashes meant you struck a blow, while blue flashes meant your strike was blocked. Point? They tried to pass this meager, insignificant, obvious detail as somehow meaningful . . .

On the other hand, could Twilight Princess be connected to Majora's Mask?
