The Cheesiest Zelda Thing Ever... Really...

Guys, check out the cheesiest thing I have ever seen. xD It's sooo weird. Supposedly it's based off of OoT, but...

Okay, it's a Zelda movie. Yeah. When Nintendo said they weren't going to make one, that's because Nintendo wasn't making one, this other campany was. No joke. Watch:

Re: The Cheesiest Zelda Thing Ever... Really...

Very very cheesy indeed... looks to be a very very low budget film. Should've left to the guys who did FFVII: Advent Children; would've done wonders for the Zelda franchise.

Probably. I doubt they even stick to the storyline. Blah. I seriously hope this one doesn't make theaters. It would get, like, half a star rating! xD

Re: The Cheesiest Zelda Thing Ever... Really...

I bet if they had a reasonable budget and put some more thought into it, it wouldn't be that bad of a movie. But as it stands now, it's horrible...Young Link looks like he's 25!

Cheesy, yes. It's actually pretty decent looking for a Zelda fan-film. I hope they finish it because I'd like to watch it.

Re: The Cheesiest Zelda Thing Ever... Really...

I actually thought it looked WAAAAY better then all of the other Zelda-fan movies I've seen. I liked the music a little bit. The guy who played Link looked like he was wearing a toupee though...They could have at least got someone who had natural blondish/brownish hair. Nabooru looked pretty cool. Saria's hair was red...I don't get that part. The fighting was sort of good. But Ganondorf...I don’t know. He just seemed so ugly. I mean like butt ugly. With his big eyebrows and whatnot. I suppose that is what Ganondorf would look like in the real world.

It wasn't the best thing in the world, but it was DEFINATLY better then those other entirely junky fan based Zelda movies.

Re: The Cheesiest Zelda Thing Ever... Really...

I always wanted to see a Legend of zelda movie. particularly an oot movie. but not low budget. i wanted it to be made by someone who really knew what they were doing. maybe paramount of something, as long as they stuck to the story line. i even signed one of those online petitions to get them to make one. i hope one is made by a decent company who has the budget to make it look great.

Re: The Cheesiest Zelda Thing Ever... Really...

Try looking on Hyrule.net's main page about this information. It is news about a fan movie that's been in the making for two years. I thought it looked good - until I saw the Link character, and the guard, and...

Fine. It may end up uber-cheesy, but it's being made by folks who know what they're doing. Although personally, I think that this is the best Zelda movie of all time.

Re: The Cheesiest Zelda Thing Ever... Really...

.....When I said that a live action Zelda movie would be cool, I meant it to actually....look good. If they're gonna do a movie for LoZ, get Peter Jackson to do it like the Lord of the Rings. And for starters, I don't remember seeing that many characters in the actual game.
And the sword play was just sad..........ew........

As for saddest thing ever seen....naww this still tops my list:

Re: The Cheesiest Zelda Thing Ever... Really...

It looks like crap, but I do have respect for the people for trying.

I'll always say this, a zelda movie should NEVER be made. And if it really should happen, it should be animated a la Advent Children. Even then I'd have serious doubts. Great game, no doubt, but making a movie of it... it's not what zelda is.

Re: The Cheesiest Zelda Thing Ever... Really...

My word, It looks like they got an entire army of nerds working on this film! From what I can tell alot more effort has gone into the costume and prop department than the actual direction of the film though, but hey it's still early days yet.

My own personal thoughts are that you should only attempt something that epic and emotive if you can do it well. from the trailer it looks like they have yet to achieve any level of subtlety to the plot.
It will be very interesting to see how it ends up comparing the the OOT spoof I am currently working on. Ours will not have as many people working on it, but we have the advantage of making ours as a comedy so hopefully it won't be as painfull to watch, although I gotta say that does look like it could end up very, very amusing.

Oh yeah, Link and Zelda kissing? Who's idea was that? i'd love to meet the script writer/s on this project.

If ny Zelda movie where to be made I'd rather see it in CG. 3D animation for Zelda at its finest

Maybe when I finish schooling and become a 3D animator (I actually wanna become one), I'll make some sort of vid based on Zelda

yeah it looked pretty bad. The black ink on the hands...oh my. But the effects looked ok, and Link looks pretty cool, but Ganondorf just looks like a goth freak.

Re: The Cheesiest Zelda Thing Ever... Really...

You'll laugh, but if this does end up actually being released this fall (which, by the way, coincides with TP and PH), I'm going to see it. Yeah, I told you that you'd laugh. What harm could it do? So Link's hair looks horribly fake and the CGI needs some serious work. As reported, they're still working on CGI and animations. With any luck, they'll be smart enough to use that graphical computing power to make his hair look better. I have to say, most of the costumes weren't that bad...but the soldiers--oh, God, the soldiers! >< Horrible, horrible costume... But at least Ganondorf had an awesome laugh. Yes, it looks cheesy. But most movies are nowadays. It can't possibly be worse than Mr. & Mrs. Smith, but everybody went to see that simply because Angelina Jolie plays a star role and there are lots of guns and explosions.

I'm gullible, so sue me. One way or another, I'll watch it--even if only for laughs.

Oh maan, they could make a zleda movie like 100 times Better than that,
That movie just doesn't look good, it doesn't drag u into the movie like for example
LoTR ..
I think that if it was a high budget film like LoTR It would make a real Big Succes !!
This one is just dissapointing ..
