The Phantom Hourglass Villan?

First off, if we are assuming that ph is indeed a direct sequel to tww, Ganondorf is basically ruled out, the only other major villan in the Zelda series is Vaati.
Vaati i feel fits in very well with the whole hero of the winds theme as he himself is 'the windmage', however ph shows no evidence of the wind being harnessed by Link at all, either it is just that nothing has been revealed yet or this is not the hero of winds.
The name, The Phantom Hourglass again suggests that the game's main theme, once again, is time... not wind. The term 'phantom' i feel may be referring to phantom Ganon whom i could see as the major villian in the game, 'phantom' however could just be referring to a 'dark world'.

These are just my ideas, if anyone else has other theroies on ph's villan i would love to hear them

Re: The Phantom Hourglass Villan?

Well, not Vaati, because Vaati was born in Minish cap, which comes later in the timeline. Plus, Vaati has outlived his usefulness. Probably won't see too much out of him anymore. We could have an entirely new boss, probably trying to save Ganondorf from his stony prison. Possibly Phantom Ganon, as you said, or maybe even Agahnim. I'm assuming Vaati won't play a role, if you are right, and this is a sequel of Wind Waker.

Re: The Phantom Hourglass Villan?

I think we'll be seeing a whole new villain for PH and that we'll have to use the phantom hourglass to stop him, well.. atleast if it is an item.

Or it could be that the villain will use the Phantom hourglass to do his evil. Maybe he activates the hourglass in order to release something. (an evil spirit, or a gate to another world?)

Well, sence Ganondorf didn't really die in WW (IMO). He just got petrified, so he's soul never left the world and is now wondering(sp?) around. It sounds like a good villian to me.

Re: The Phantom Hourglass Villan?

Ganon's come back from fates far worse than having a sword rammed through his brain, so I would never rule him out. Basing on the graphics and the whole 'sea' thing, it does appear to be a sequel to The Wind Waker, which can only be a good thing.

Re: The Phantom Hourglass Villan?

The villian in Phantom Hourglass? It's either Ganondorf (again), Phantom Ganon, someone totally new, or Majora's Mask! At least, I hope it's Majora. That would so rock.

Majora has arrived in the great sea, found Ganondorf trapped inside a rock, freed him, and then took over his entire body! Link, now it is your duty to take on two badass villians at once!

P.S. I was wondering when Wind Waker 2 was coming out. By the by, is Nintendo the one who's making the Phantom Hourglass, or Capcom?

Re: The Phantom Hourglass Villan?

Well Link and Zelda searched for a new Hyrule so maybe they travelled far from the WW islands.

Anyway I'd like to see Shadow Link as the main villian or at least trying to revive Ganon. Well he helped release Vaati in FSA so he is not just a mindless monster so he may have a personnality and have many encounteres with Link. And if the phantom hourglass was to be used by the main bad guy then we wouldn't see that much of it in the game so it seems unlikely.

I'd forgotten about Shadow Link. Meh, it's funny if Shadow Link stumbled across Majora's Mask, put it on, released Ganon, and wrecked havoc all over the Sea. Link, you've got your work cutout for you!

Damn, that would be a hard game. Well if MM found a way to Hyrule maybe Ganon's evil counterpart (Or counterparts) did too. But then again the return of MM would mean the return of the fierce deity too. That makes some happy fan boys.

Re: The Phantom Hourglass Villan?

The major enemy should be (if this is a sequal to tWW) some sort of person, thing, or phantom (title), that is trying to revive ganon. That would make more sense than fighting ganon again.

Re: The Phantom Hourglass Villan?

I really doubt that Phantom Ganon is the main baddie. He's just not main baddie material. I just like saying main baddie. No really, all Phantom Ganon is cut up for (I believe) is to be either a boss of a temple or a mini-boss. Let's hope for a new enemy, not that little mage Vaati. Wait, I shouldn't talk about him since I don't play handheld games! Now, I am the papi and you are the son. Now go fetch my belt so I can hit you in the FACE! Or not.

I would assume that the villian is NOT Vaati as Nintendo has said that this will not be a Four Swords game.

Re: The Phantom Hourglass Villan?

I know this is a little off topic but I wounder if PH will feature where the "new" or possibly reborn land of Hyrule will take off. That would be great to know that their is a set base for LoZ's to occur after WW then on solid ground, possibly leading into other LoZ's that already exist.

Anyway were talking about who the next villian is. What if this Link in PH is the Hero of Men spoken of in the TMC prologue? That would be awsome! This would of course make since why the TMC prologue makes the main evil that the Hero of Men had to face as a complete mystery. Much like PH implies even now.

Re: The Phantom Hourglass Villan?

Hmm, The hero of men. That never crossed my mind at all, but I'm not sure because the HoM was depicted as wearing no green hat, of course that's hardly a good basis.
I would personally think the PH will be a sort of Zelda side story- Much like MM or LA which do not really focus on a new enemy but the personal exploit of a Link, but that's just me.

Re: The Phantom Hourglass Villan?

You have to remember that Ganon(Dorf)'s not rules out of the picture. He was turned to stone, not killed. I think that Ph's Link (Or one in a future game) is going to go 'King Arthur' & release Ganon.

Another theory is that, Ganon is still trapped in the sacred realm, but is using pawns (Eg. Agahnim) to do his vile bidding for him. The WW ganon & the PH Ganon could just be the spirit of Ganon possesing diffent bodies.

There are infinite possibilities.

As long as Nintendo keeps making the ideas, any reason will work. The only thing that we can do is wait for the facts -_-'.

Re: The Phantom Hourglass Villan?

Yeah I also hope they make a new main villan for this game. I hope they dont combine old bosses like some have suggested as this just doesnt cut it with me presonally. Something on the lines of MM would be nice.

Also on side note, I also would like to discover or create the 'new' Hyrule, I say create but more like be responible for it, maybe the phantom hourglass can turn back the time to a peacefull time where the land was no longer flooded neer the end of game or something (bad idea but yeah)

Yeah, that sounds like bad fanfiction.

I'm kind of hoping that it will be a new villain.
