A different kind of Triforce hunt
Everyone that I know really hated that dam triforce hunt, I hated it to. Aimlessly just sailing around looking for the maps then getting the money to pay tingle to do a stupid dance, a very expensive dance. Dumb, pointless, and could've been redone in soooo many ways. This scratched the back of my mind however, what if you will have to do it in Twilight Princess?
However, given the large amount of delay this game has had, and the information that it will have the large estimated time of 100+ hours of gameplay. You think that they may be working on a short dungeon for each peice? Though more than likely there will be less pieces. Yes I do realize that you can very clearly see the triforce on Links hand in many pictures. But what else could fill a 100+ game? ![]()

Re: A different kind of Triforce hunt
I enjoyed the Triforce hunt. I played through WW multple times and each time I've always had no problems with finding the charts or having the rupees for a Tingle Lap Dance as he translates them.
Well if the game is 100+ hours then maybe there counting the distance it takes to travel from one place to another plus the time it takes on average to finish each dungeon plus the average time it takes to find secrets. I doubt there will be 100+ hours of activities to do. I'm sure the 100+ includes traveling time and Cut-Scenes that move the story on. Alternativily, maybe 100+ hours mean there will be a librery or book shelf that has books called "The Legend of Zelda" and other such books and as you read them you play the actual LOZ game. I heard it somewhere and it sounded good but unlikely. |

Re: A different kind of Triforce hunt
I still wish to see the link to the fact that TP will be 100+ hours...
But anyway, I do not think the Triforce was split until after TP (amid much discussion I have decided that). Therefore, it is possible that you will not have to go after the pieces like in the WW.

Re: A different kind of Triforce hunt
I agree with the dissappointment about the triforce hunt in ww. searching for the peices was not too big of a deal, but there were many times i was sailing around aimlessly, just looking for rupees to pay for the translation. and the first time i brought a map to tingle to get it deciphered, and i saw him say his "magic words" and do a backflip, i was rip s***. i started yelling out loud "i just paid HOW many rupees for this S***!?!" my mom thought i was on drugs.
since then i have replayed it a few times and have found ways to make the transition easier, but i still would not like another hunt in TP.

Re: A different kind of Triforce hunt
I don't think the Triforce hunt was so dissapointing in the WW as much as the lack of stuff that wasn't the Triforce hunt. Spending 1/10 of the game looking for them wouldn't have been bad-spending 1/2 is. There was such a lack of non-Triforce hunt content. Another triforce hunt wouldn't be so irksome provided there is plenty of other stuff.

Re: A different kind of Triforce hunt
The triforce hunt inWW annoyed me enough. I don't need it in the game that I've been looking forward to for the past two years.
Maybe if you found them in dungons along the way that would be fine, but not as a whole two hours trying eight little shards in the biggest landscape in Zelda history. Just... no.
