GDC BEGINS TODAY!!!!

As most of you probably know, GDC begins today! Yes my friends, this could mean some new Twilight Princess info. Maybe even a video. Nintendo Power said that new information would be provided on the 23rd. What do you think GDC holds as far as Zelda goes? Please post comments!

Luckily for me, it's not on a Tuesday/Thursday/Sunday night, as opposed to last year. I believe it was on a Thursday. I have church on the three aforementioned evenings, so I missed the updating frenzy IGN went on. Guess I'll be paying them my first visit in a while tonight. Something in my gut tells me we're not going to get anything really new, but it's not nearly as strong as my normal gut feelings. Who knows? Maybe we'll get something good.

I'm not expecting a new trailer until E3, but some screenshots would be nice! ANYTHING after these long months of news-starvation.

*nod, nod* Agreed. Still, considering as long as they've kept us insatiated, they had better deliver. I won't build up hope, but that doesn't change the fact that I will be thoroughly miffed if the Big N neglects its fans once again. E3 may not be so far away in reality, but for God's sake, we're teenagers. We don't have lives! They work, and that whiles the time away. To them, the time they have put into TP must seem fairly short. We, on the other hand, are not so lucky.

Iwata's speech is Thursday, and there aren't likely to be any big announcements until then.

Although GDC has officially started, it's all workshops today and tomorrow. Booths open on wednesday, along with the PS3 speech, and Iwata/Will Wright are on thursday.

I personaly don't care anymore (Thus why the hell do I bother to post if I don't care: "To be or not to be... that is the fricken question...") But anyway I rather stay ignorant of TP info until it comes close to it's release date. Nintedo has already worn us out by keeping us in an unesessary silent suspence. So I have no high hopes for anything special to be said about TP anymore. I even have my mind set already that Nintendo will screw us over again and again until they have this new LoZ delayed onto the new revelutuion councle, because that is what they will do come up to this fall when it was said to be released... or will it...

^ Well, no offense, but the above post was rather ridiculous. Miyamoto PROMISED that it WILL come out on GC, and it WILL be released eventually because of all the effort and money Nintendo put into it. (Of course they don't want to lose their money!) And anyway, Hyrule.net has been regurgetating the old E3 2005 footage--to keep fans hyped--back up again, so I'll be satafied at least a couple more days with this stale stuff. If no new news pops up in the meantime, I think I might starve! (In other words, I'll lose all my current hype for TP and not really care about it anymore until I see a commercial on TV reminding me that TP actually existed) Ah, well. Let's just cross some fingers and hope for some new info in a few days!!!

And since when is a promise from a company exec reliable?

Anyway, I highly doubt this will bring new TP info. A release date is all I want. I've seen quite enough screens/footage and I honestly would be pissed if that's all they gave. I no longer want to watch the game being played: I want to play it.

It's true, just to know when the game wiil come out would make the waiting less suspensful

I believe that there is going to be an announcement on TP...
All we can do is wait and see!

As opposed to other previous events, I'm actually expecting new TP info to be released at GDC. Nintendo said they would release new TP info at the end of Dec, which turned into Jan/Feb, and well, it's March, sure, we know that new info will be revealed at E3, but that's like saying "the GC is purple" OF COURSE there will be new TP info @ E3. If Nintendo knows what's right, they will be nice and reveal a bit of new infomation.

True, all true. If they reveal nothing more than an official release date at GDC, I'll be fine, but if they do this, they BETTER make up for at E3. I want some beefy new footage, people!

Everybody knows that it'll be released!
Nobody knows everything about TP's gameplay!
Some screens should be sweet too!

My forecast for GDC is: No release date, perhaps a light shower of screenshots. Trailers unlikely.

Looking ahead to E3: Release date for sure, with info and heavy trailers.

Wrap up warm!

All I want to hear is a heads up on TP's progress, what they've improved on and screenshots/trailer to show us the improvement.

What I really want to see in the screenshots and/or trailer is how much the town has improved since the last time we saw it. The last time it had that horrible greyish fog, 2 or more clones of each NPC in town and poor textures. This time around it had better be good.

And if that's not going to happen I hope they atleast show us something to speculate about till E3.

You're living in a dream world. Nintendo isn't going to let you know everything about the TP gameplay before it's release. No developer ever does that.

I agree! The town scenes werer horrible last time we saw them and it gave a me sinking feeling in my stomach. It made me wonder how the game was going to turn out after all. They had better give us at least a couple juicy screenshots to puzzle ourselves over until E3, because we KNOW there will be an uproar about it if they don't.
