Edge Magazine confirms TP uses Revmote!

First off, please excuse me starting this thread..I know that alot of threads have been started about Twilight Princess using the Revolutions Remote...but none of them have qouted the latest issue of Edge Magazine...so i thought it deserved its own thread.

In the latest issue of Edge Magazine, the one with the PS3 on the cover, there is a section that focuses on the Nintendo Revolution. In that section it breifly talks about Twilight Princess...stating, and i quote "Twilight Princess will be the first Nintendo game that WILL use the Revolutions Controller". Im not sure if this is any old news or not, and i apologize sincerely if it is....but i thought is was a big piece of info to know about. I personally always forsaw that TP would use the remote....but its the first time i saw Edge Magazine confirm it...and i think Edge is a pretty good mag and always pretty accurate.

Once again, sorry if old....but pretty interesting if new. Lates

Instead of apologizing "just in case" it's old news why not use the search engine and make sure?

Now, can you back your info?

Re: Next Generation Magazine confirms TP uses Revmote!

Of course I can back my info.

I do not have a scan or picture of the article, but..on Wednesday (my day off ) I will go to the bookstore and take a pic of the mag article, and then post it on here....that is unless someone else on here actually purchased the 6 dollar mag for a 2 page article on Revolution....cause i sure as hell didnt.

Yeah, Revmote does sound dumb.... *picks up Revmote and hits himself in the head with the Revmote, causing a Revolution of pain..all because of the Revmote...dam you Revmote....curse you....I hate you Revmote*

Re: Next Generation Magazine confirms TP uses Revmote!

It's irrelevant if edge stated/confirmed a revolution compatiablity feature for TP. Why you ask? becasue several other credible game publications have stated the exact same thing, and have all been passed off as "it may be true, it may just be hot air". one more mag saying its going to happen isnt going to cement the fact any more. Nintendo still stands by its statement that it will be a gamecube release, and reggie has stated that gamecube gaems will only be playable with gamecube accessories (controllers, memory cards etc.).

Personally, i doubt it will use the revolution controller. aonuma has said that he doesnt want another tingle tuner scenario, he wants the player to be able to do everything with what they already have, and not need any extra addons

It's not a 'revmote' It the revolutions controller, I don't see where the name remote comes from.

Re: Next Generation Magazine confirms TP uses Revmote!

They've begun the marketing advances already? Oh, that's good to hear. As the new NoF director says, there's a chance this means we won't have to wait until Q4 to get our greedy little hands on TP.

Hmm...is anyone else reminded of that one, terribly long article that an "inside source" leaked? The one which spoke of the battle system, and even mentioned a number of violent scenarios (especially the interactive cutscenes) which, at the time, seemed too radical to be true? This is the first time I've truly considered that I could have been wrong in brushing off that article. Just a thought.

And I thought "Revmote" sounded kind of catchy, personally. It's also quicker to say than "Revolution's controller", and you can never have too many abbreviations. ^^

It's a remote control, dude. And I'm not basing that statement on appearance. It's a controller; it works remotely, or "from a distance". Hence, it's a "remote control" in the sense that it "controls things from a distance". The "Revmote" thing is just a play on words, and not a bad one either.

It's good to hear.

I would say it's a remote. It's not necessarily retarded, as Tjalian stated. I mean, just look at the thing. What else could it be called? And don't say a controller, I know that.

Anyway, I've never seen an Edge magazine before, but I think I may go out and pick one up just to find that article. Why not? I need to suck in all the Zelda information for the next generation.
