about the extra development time.

im sure yall heard bout that spike tv interview with reggie and the fall release (has this been on tv? if so has anyone seen this)

so what im wondering is, what is nintendo planning for tp, when they announced the delay in august, they said they needed 6 extra months development time (if im not mistaken), to add extra parts of the story and stuff like that. so that would make a release somewhere after E3 (seen from a logical view.)

but now the date is somewhere between september and november, so that is another 7-8 months of development time, and i think the these revolution options won't take that long to create, so either they're are making the game even longer, or the weren't even finished with the game. (which i actually dont think but it could happen.)

i hope this game is even greater then OOT, it's been in development for almost over 4 years now. (plus i hope we get some new info soon, cause we've been fiending for it for like 6-7 months.)

but what do yall think they're gonna use the extra time for.

I have no clue why they delayed it. Either they want some compatiblity with the revolution or they messed up on something and they don't want to tell us about it.

When they delayed it in August, They said it will be released after March 31st.
So it should be in April...If its not released before e3 its just a joke.

It would be so stupid to have it at E3 once again, The game just needs to be released already.

Reggie seemed to have "confirmed" it in a interview with Spike TV. I really didn't want this to be true, but it seems that way now. Twilight Princess would have been a great game to play during Spring Break.

If it does end up releasing in Fall, I'm most likely going to use my money saved for it and buy Kingdom Hearts II.

fall is from september 21 to december 21, and im guessing if it's really coming out in fall then it's problably in november (biggest game month, plus it would boost the holiday sales.) but still it's coming from reggie, and i dont trust reggie so much anymore. (but yeah it will most likely be true, and it sucks.)

but im wondering if tp will get overshadowed at e3 by the revolution. (problably not if they're gonna let us play a new tp demo with the rev options.)

Heh. Autumn is Aug 1 - Oct 31 in Ireland. If it's getting released in Autumn here, then it better be in Autumn! November is Winter here.

What are they doing with it? I quite honestly believe it's to make money from both the Revolution and the game itself. They release it around the time of the Revolution to get money from both.

Had they released it Q2 or earlier, people would've went out and gottten a Gamecube to play it. Releasing it in Autumn (a little before Revolution, if not the same day, or maybe even later) would make new buyers feel the Gamecube is too outdated to bother with. They'll go and buy a Revolution for backwards compatibility. That would help sales of the Revolution, while selling the game too.
