Old skool OoT castle guard in TP?

If this has made before, sorry, I couldn't find any thread the same as this.

The one in the middle(and on the left) is the guard found in a screenshot given at time of the delay. The right is the Castle Guard from Ocarina of Time, they are very similiar. Does this means it takes closer to Ocarina of Time than to the Wind Waker?

No.

But it is another case of how designs are reused all the time in Zelda.

the game takes place a few decades after OOT, so it's close to it.

They're not exactly the same, and the Hyrule guard ghosts do look like guards, but not like the OoT ones.

Maby so but still, the desighn for guard armour doesn't really change too much over time. Still, I think they should remove the nasy vonurable short shorts from them. Ewww. But yeah I don't think the castle guards will ever really change.

Except for the fact that they're a certain shade of green and unfinished, yes, they do look like the Castle Guards. Maybe they are and will be when they're "finished".

I don't really think similar designs is an indication of well, chronological order. It probably applies more to actual production order(closer it the game is, designs will probably be reused but uh, not always the case).

Re: Old skool OoT castle guard in TP?

Excuse me, but did you say old school in the title? OoT isn't old school, and it'll never be. Now, if he looked like a guard in ALttP...

But yes, he do look similar. I hadn't noticed that guard before.

EDIT: But it doesn't mean it's close to OoT. As long as it's the same civilization, and no great changes have happened in Hyrule it's only logical that they'll wear the same style of armours.

LTTP = 2 Generations ago

By the time TP is released, we will officially be in the Next Generation, and so OoT would of been around 2 generations before. Ergo, OoT will be old school. Sorry Bub.
