Official TP Release/Delay Thread

I seriously doubt the 45 minute speech that by now, should have been given will have anything to do with the release date, media or progress of Twilight Princess.

You know, I hate to say it, but Adhamh's right. It would just be a completely weird context to announce something like that. If you read a little into the site, he's supposed to be talking on "Expanding the Market for Interactive Entertainment." It's not like right at the end he's just going to say "oh by the way, Twilight Princess will be released on May 15th." People would just be like "wtf? Twilight Princess? Who the hell is Twilight Princess? And why is she in prison?"

I think we're just so desperate for information, we'll start jumping up and down at any old speech from anyone who might know anything.

i agree i guess it would be weird. but i think we should be owed something, at least an official release date that they will stick to, it isnt good for a company to mess around with fans like that just because they can and that they know that not telling us wont really affect their sales,just aggravate their customers..its sad

Not really. When you think about it, he's done stranger things. Like...announcing Zelda info in weird contexts. Seriously, just take a look back. He's covered similar subjects before, and he claims that Zelda is partly about expanding the market. I'm not sure exactly how that works, but...eh. I'm not complaining.

I think a june release is likely at this point. i have/had a pretty convincing argument for an april release, but my spirit is dimming.

I actually have a feeling an august/september release is possible. If it's not out before E3, it better be AT e3. not much on show mind you, maybe just a little teaser trailer and a few more screens (say 6), as it had a very large presence last year

I was false hoping for a some new info at D.I.C.E., but here's the reality:

They said they would reveal the release date after march 31st. Sure, that's still vague and stupid, but it's all we've got.

I DO NOT EXPECT IWATA TO REVEAL IT IN HIS UPCOMING SPEECH IN MARCH. (although it could happen)

I have decided to takr the advice of another ZU memeber and simply tell meyself "winter". I suggest everyone here do the same.

i dont think they are gonna say anything at a bit convention or anything-it's made the rounds enough times at conventions-it's gonna be revealed during a press conference outside of a convention-that's what I think-now as of when-I dont know but im gonna go with what Tigerboi said he's gonna do and tell myself 'winter'-got enough other games to go finish anyways

Yeah, It really should come out for GCN. It's what they had planned and I already have a gamecube.

It will be out for Gamecube...Nintendo denied officially the "out for Revolution" rumors.
I read it at IGN 2-3 months ago...

My spec is that they'll say the release date during the GDC.

Ive almost lost all hope for April. Reggie basically confirmed what NGC said. So I'm thinking sometime in Fall.

I've just given up hope for TP. I don't even care when it comes out anymore, I just want it to come out.

What language is that? I didn't look to closely, except for the release date. It said "1/03/2006" but isn't that "3/01/2006" in English? I know the month/day thing works backwards in Spanish, at least.

Oh, and there's a new article at Hyrule.net that's about TP coming out in April: not saying that it will for sure, but saying why it's probably going to. Interesting stuff. And I mostly agree with it.

The only way is to wait. We must have faith in nintendo to not make the game any later. The only thing I'm looking forward to this year is twilight princess. It's what gets me trhough the week. If it doesn't come out soon though...

It would make sense to put the release date for possibly the biggest nintendo game to date, in the first issue of the new improved official magazine. Can't wait for Feb 16th.

I highly doubt the release date is gonna be revealed via a European mag-i still think it's gonna be at a press conference....
