violent!

This may be too violent for some viewers....

Link should be able to jab an arrow into an enemies head. If he losses his sword at least. Or use the arrow as a sword. There should be something out of matrix in the game. Like slow motion. What would be cool is if Link could throw a bomb drop into slow motion then shoot an arrow at it when its in the air so it explodes in an enemies face. :moodswing

Re: violent!

I like the idea of arrows as melee weapons, but slow-mo? Phaw, way over used in movies and games. If anything TP should use Fast motion for battle sequences, which keep the player on their toes instead of yawning on their backs.

Re: violent!

one thing i like about zelda is that it's not too overly violent, yet there's not too little violence. also, it's not even neccesary for it to be possible to use an arrow as a melee weapon. a sword is simply better. and don't give this this if he loses his sword thing, because if he lost his sword, the creators wanna emphasise(sp?) something like stealth.

as for the slow motion thing, it's over used in movies and video games, which would ruin the originality of zelda. it'd be boring too. ex: if when link in WW, in the final fight with ganon, when he charges link and knocks him out, i wouldn't wanna watch that in slow motion. it'd put me to sleep, and make ganon look slow and weak. when he does it quickly, he seems much more powerful, able to take out a person in a snap.

so yeah, those are my thoughts, hate 'em, love 'em.

Wow sounds like something out of F.E.A.R.
The arrow could be a good idea. But when does Link loose his sword? Never =P

Re: violent!

That'd be pretty cool. Although I seriously think stabbing somebody in the face would increase the rating. It would NOT get an E, anyway. The slow-mo is a bit over-used, but it IS really cool. Like an Arrow Cam. THWAP! *slow-mo* *arrow slices through air, pierces enemies head* *camera returns to Link* But whatever works best, I suppose.

If that bird in MM stole your sword you would have to go back in time to get it back.... Which sucks when your in the middle of a quest... So its not like it cant happen.

im not really seeing the slo-mo idea working out too well....

and arrows as melee wepons? ummmmm in all the zelda games has link ever lost his sword for more than one sequence? not that i can recall. its just not a very feasable idea, interesting. but i dont see how it would work into the game play, because you never start out with the bow either.

If link looses his sword, I rather him go into martial arts mode doing backflips and jumping off trees and kicking moblins

Re: violent!

I wouldn't like to see link in slow motion because slow motion annoys me. But come on, Link always aims for the head when you Z/L target. Anyway why would you wan't to increase the violance in Zelda it already is violantbut there is no blood so that is why it isn't rated T

Re: violent!

Making a Zelda game overly violent would ruin it, the way TP is keeping the violence is just fine. Blood and massacere and crap like that would ruin Zelda.

Re: violent!

Okay, now, in what situation would Link lose his sword, but not his arrows? and why the hell would you use an arrow for a sword?

Re: violent!

Link can't lose his sword. He's got a freaking death-grip on the sucker. Like in OoT in the Water Temple against the final boss. Assuming you get grabbed by Morphos and shooken like a British Nanny while you sword is out and then flung across the room (perhaps into some spikes). He still has his sword.

Under the assumption that he somehow managed to drop it. (The only time that I can remember was in OoT, final boss fight against Ganon when he knocked away the Master Sword). Link probably just has another sword or will fight with his bombs, magic or shield. He'll probably use his Bows and Arrows as a set, yes. But not just an arrow. Those things break!

link lsot his sword in TWW...remember when he is launched into Forsaken Fortress wall? and why is there such a demand for more violence in video games? especially zelda. can't we just leave it the way it is!

Slow-mo is overused, period. Anyway, the idea of arrows as a melee weapon...hm...how about, instead of arrows, spears? Seems like a better idea to me.

Ya that would actually be kinda cool like maybe not full fleged martial arts but maybe something smaller like punching and maybe some kicks and stuff like that.
