What will it be?

Weve already heard that there will be a specific item that will be key to the game. There has been in almost every Zelda game. It will probably be some kind of instrument. what are your thoughts?

Well in one of the videos we see link playing some sort of grass or leaf instrument so if its an instrument it would probably be like that. I doubt an ocarina will make an appearence since its a new link in this game.

Midna is what this game is based on...Twilight Princess > Midna > Master Sword

I read in a Nintendo Power saying that there is going to be an instrument but it hadnt been introduced yet. And its not the reed/grass thing. I wish I could find the quote but I may come across it.

What Video is that?

Its in the part 4 of ign roundtable, its on their 6th page of videos.

I think I'm one of the few that tire of the focus on the key item. Given that we have this transformation to a wolf, that in itself might be the new little feature of the game that it centers on. We obviously can't tell from the title anymore, anyways. So, maybe the instrument could be there, but only with a secondary importance.

That reed of grass plays a very minor part in the game (from what I played of the Demo) you use it to call your Horse (Epona) to round up the cattle

Link wasn't controlling the hawk, did you even see the video? He has it on his arm and it puts up a dot (like the boomerang) and sends it off. And I doubt the reeds are gonna be minor, you can probably get them everywhere. Sence you need to call your horse with them.

Well maybe the reed is only a temporary replacement for the main instrument,I dont think that if the instrument will be the key item in the game that it would be the reed as having to find one, pick it up and then call with it may get a little repetitive. I mean nobody has seen link use one outside of the villiage so maybe its like the ocarina in OOT before you got the actual ocarina of time?

What if...there is no instrument?

No, seriously, the Ocarina of Time was added as a gimmick for a generic Zelda title. The wolf transformation in TP is enough, so why another gimmick?

I bet he gets an item so he can stay normal in the twilight realm like the moon stone in ALTTP. By the way, the instrument, was'nt it some kind of flute so you could call on your horse or something?

in the demo did u ever use an instrument

Man, I thought I knew most of what there is to know about TP, but I guess I was wrong... Very interesting, but right now I'm tired of trying to figure things out so I'll just wait to find out myself! You see, when I was younger I would get on the computer and print out guides for OoT and MM for my friend. In this way I learned how to beat the whole game and what it was about, without ever touch the controller. It kind've ruined the game for me, and to this day I have never fully completed Ocarina of Time because I know what's gonna happen; I've seen it so many, many times...
