an attack on TP?

did any body notice that all of a sudden mysteriously kingdom hearts 2 was pushed back to march? hmm this happened before where where where..........oh i know Twilight Princess was moved to March/april . Is square taking a swing at our Elven hero?

i dont mind them moving it along another month or two. and i couldnt give a damn about kingdom hearts. i say, if Nintendo need's more time to prepare TP, give it to them. i want this game to be one of the Greatist Zelda games ever. i reckon that Ninty are Bringing it out sooner to keep you mad dog's-err, i mean, you more than merely excited Nintendo fans busy while they improve TP. just lay off, and give them the time they need.

I dont mind if it takes 2 more years (well, maybe then...)! Just like CO Andy said, I want this to be another OOT (not literally, but in a technological sense)!

Personally, I don't see what the big deal is. As long as Zelda fans remain loyal to the game, there is no way that Kingdom Hearts 2 is going to chew out good ol' Legend of Zelda. So what if TP isn't a smash hit? Okay, Nintendo dosn't make a $%!# load of money, but at least they'll know that they pleased a countless number of loyal customers, and I think that's what counts.

Who cares??!!!, Kingdom Hearts is no match for a Legendary game like Zelda. Come on guys don't think so hard about this, is not worth it.

I would think that Square Enix would want to avoid direct competition with Zelda the motnh it's released; they'd get steamrolled by the juggernaut that is Twilight Princess.

Its called marketing strategy, people. Twilight Princess is going to be the last hurrah for Nintendo and similarily, I guess Sony wants that kind of idea too. Granted, I wouldn't know which would sell better(While I now Zelda is a great franchise, Kingdom Hearts has a huge fanbase already), but what would you do to you know, make the best of the situation? They could honestly need the extra time to finetune the game too, sure enough.

I really wouldnt worry about it...seriously, don't make a big deal out of it...as lord-of-shadow said, they will most likely be rolled over. Kingdom Hearts does have quite a few fans, but Zelda has more.

I'd also like to point this out. This could be an attempt to beat out Zelda and it would make perfect sense.

Nintendo's strongest franchise is Zelda. If someone can topple Zelda, then the rest of nintendo is soon to follow. Now that I've looked at it this way, it makes sense. It's a bold move if it's the case. But it makes sense. And this is only the case if this was Sony's doing. I can't imagine Square actually wanting to compete directly with nintendo. Or hell, maybe the director of the game asked for the delay? Just so he can see how his game stands up to the one of worlds finest? That'd make sense to.

I don't think that Square is pushing the game back to compeat with TP, Square has been delaying all there games so this news is nothing new to me. But honestly...I love both of the games and I will get them both when they come out...I don't see any competition really, if you want both games you are going to get them...just maybe not when they are new releases.

Even IF square was trying to compete with TP they would be run over! For me- TP is 2006 Game Of The Year, no doubt about it.

Kingdom Hearts has a fanbase, true, but it's absolutely nothing compared to the Zelda one. And Twilight Princess has easily been the most anticipated game in the industry for months now, and Nintendo is doing a good job of keeping the interest up even through delays.

Kingdom Hearts 2 will get completely eclipsed by Zelda if they're released close together.

Square would have to have guys like this to try to go up against LoZ. It's insanity at its worst. What does Kingdom hearts have on LoZ? They don't got a guy in green, do they?

I doubt thats the reason why they delayed Kingdom Hearts but it can be. Or maybe the delay was for the same reason as zelda. I dont think it will be easy to outsell Zelda. I feel TP has been uch more anticipated then Kingdom hearts.

look at it this way: Zelda has been around a lot longer than Kingdom hearts. zelda has like eight or nine games and kindom hearts only has three! don't worry zelda-and-not-kingdom-hearts-fans, you are supreme and there is no threatening competition for you!

(plus, Nintendo is way cooler than Sony)

A few things allow me to correct:

#1. There are 12 different Zelda games out right now
#2. There are 2 Kingdom Hearts games out right now
#3. It's SQUARE ENIX that's developing KH2, NOt Sony . Just because a game is released on a PS2 doesn't make it Sony developed.

Zelda is infact a more popular and overall larger series than KH. However, I'm impressed at how large the fanbae for KH has gotten, while Zelda's fanbase has slowly been getting smaller. But I don't believe KH2's delay has any sort of attack on TP.
