excellent ideas for zelda games on the revolution

i have some ideas for upcoming zelda games. why don't they make a zelda racing game along with the upcoming traditional game and a zelda game where link and fire emblem characters like marth and roy team up to battle evil and you can switch between them to solve challanging puzzles and make these games multiplayer.

I have no intention of stepping on your toes, but that is quite possibly the worst idea for a Zelda game I have ever heard. Racing? Diddy Kong and Mario maybe, but Link and Zelda? I think not! Marth and Roy teamed up with Link? Simply put, they are from different worlds, their idenities would clash, and it would do poorly if not terribly.

i don't see why a racing game would be made. I mean, not only would there be too few characters, they don't even have CARS. If there was a racing mini game in TP on horse back or something, that'd be good. But, i don't think a whole 'nother racing game would be very good.

Exactly. Horse back racing only, such as the Gormon bros in MM, or Lon Lon Ranch in OoT. Cars would be ridiculous as well as a discrace. My appologies for being honest.

As you can see from all the other posts it is not only me who thinks its a bad idea. Why? Look at mario, he was much more respected before he got those games. We can accept that a platform game turns into a racing game and such but Zelda is an adventure and a serius game, mario was not.

what would be wrong with marth and roy joing link on a quest? you just don't see the point do you. They can make it where you have to swing the controller to use the sword and when you choose which character you want to use for the quest you can do thing with the controller for some cool action moves. when playing the game i'm talking about, i'm expectiong moves like throwing characters at monsters to destroy them and doing cool sword combos. As for the racing game, link and characters from the zelda series can ride horses or do foot races and to slow down your opponents you can use items or weapons to mess them up. Thats my ideas of new zelda games.

well, so THATS your ideas. well, in mine opinion, make fire emblem characters a dynasty warriors game or something, but let them OUTSIDE Zelda! I think you have played too much super smash bros my boy. And for the horse racing, sure minigame, nothing else!

No... Oh goodness NO!... Please... NOOOOO! Someone's been playing too much SSBM, methinks. Sure, they both have swords, but Marth Roy and Link all in a real game (not that SSBM isn't real) would, quite frankly, suck.

I really feel sorry for the guy... but my answer also is... that's a horrible idea... i add myself to all the other commentaris... Zelda is just not a game for racing... and Fire Emblem mix with Zelda... i think that would be awful... too much SMBM...

Possibly one of the WORST, if not, most UNORIGINAL ideas I've seen so far. Mario has already given its part in racing games, no need for Zelda ((Even if it was horseback riding, it wouldn't possess the same qualities as Mario Kart)).

And WTF is with Fire Emblem joining with Zelda? Dude they're completly different universes... maybe you just play SSBM too much .

I think that would be awful, a crossover game including the zelda universe would ruin a lot of the zelda magic, to me.

oh.. well, there were some good points made though. I have to agree that putting characters from different universes together into an action/adventure game isn't a good idea. and a racing game doesn't soot zelda in my opinion. the only way I could see that work is if nintendo made in-game games like the goron races in MM multiplayer, but that isn't very likely.

My opinion: I remember discussing this before, and I'ce come to a conclusion. I, and many others, would hate to see a Zelda Kart, golf etc. Zelda should stick to its roots.

When Nintendo said Revolution Zelda would be very different, I don't think they meant anything like that. More along the lines of; mini-games involing the controllor, and a slick battkle system, maybe? That is more believable.

Yeah, I agree. Though I do find it hard not to call the idea stupid. There are a lot of people who just loooooove crossovers. I am not one of them. I know people who think the Nintendo characters should team up with Superman, Batman, and the rest on an episode of Justice League. No joke.
