How awsome would it be....

if there was an online zelda game. Similar to Star Wars Galaxies, just taking place in the world of Zelda. A truly interactive game, where a person could play single player and play a regular game, or play online with millions of other people throughout the world. If Revolution has online capabilities...?
Or if Revolution crashes and burns, and nintendo turns to software, the PC would be a perfect platform for this concept.

Now, I have my thing about MMO's, what with fees (not for Guild Wars), n00bs, PKers, spawn campers, etc., but a ZELDA MMO? IT makes me shudder. Every male would be one of the following:

Lonk
Lank
Lenk
Lunk
(consonant) + ink

with a green hat and so on. All females would probably be
Ze1da
Zeld4
Xelda
(consonant) + elda
etc. and #^$@ if they won't all be crown wearing magic users who can quick change into ninjas. And on the subject of Shiek, we'll have male players playing both real Sheiks (female) and 'I didn't finish Ocarina' Sheiks (male). Same thing for females. And add in Gorons and Zora and we'll be up to our necks in Mikaus, Rutos, and Darmanis. And don't get me started on horses.

I would not really find it awesome if Nintendo would crash and burn. Plus, Nintendo would be under a lot of competition if they were to join the PC market. World of Warcraft is booming at the momment. I don't think Nintendo would turn out like Sega and start making games for their rivals + Nintendo games suit everybody:

Shooter Metroid

Platformer Super Mario

RPG / Action Adventure Zelda

And many more...

It would be cool if there was a computer Zelda, but I wouldn't want the Gamecube, XBox, PS, PS2...well, you get the point, but it wouldn't be cool if they stopped making games for them and only made them for PC. That would seriously stink. But it would be cool if you could put them on a disk or something and if you travel, you could just find a computer and play it on the computer instead of hauling around a console.

I'm positive Nintendo will do well with the revolution. Anyone who pays attention will like it. The possibilities for this sytem are limitless. Plus even if you don't like the controller you can just get the cradle thing. I'd better stop before I start ranting.

If Zelda is ever made into an MMORPG, I will personally hunt down Eiji Aonuma and rip of his balls with my bare hands. This would absolutely ruin one a great series.

Now, I could see online multiplayer minigames, or something like that, but an MMORPG would be absolutly tragic.

I wouldn't want an online game because there would be a million people that looked like Link running around, much like Runescape. Like Epyon said, it would be cool to have minigames like Horce-racing, archery contests, dueling, bombchuing, and more. I just don't think Zelda is the right series for online gaming.

If that were to happen, suicide would definitely be my only option. But not before taking Nintendo out.

Actually I think a Zelda MMORPG would be great, however there would have to be a system to make sure nobody was trying to copy link zelda etc. Though it would have to have alot of staff there purely for continuing plot, and acting out the characters from the games. I don't think npcs would be very fun, also it would take scripting and such to make them carry on the plot of a whole world, alot of scripting, versus just telling someone what to do.

I'd only want a Zelda MMO if it WASN'T an RPG. I think an MMOAA (Massively Multiplayer Online Action Adventure) would be awesome, however. If it looked like Zelda and played like Zelda, but let you go adventuring with other people, I would absolutely love it. It would be the one game that would make me REALLY look forward to the Revolution.

Why is everyone afraid of Zelda going to PC? As much as I'd love Zelda on a PC, Nintendo wouldn't do that. They'd just make it for the Revo.
