Post Curing the 'No-horse' blues.

Well there is still time before Twilight princess comes out but I've not been worried lately. I recently rented GUN to try it out and see if i might want to buy it, I thought it was an awesome game and well worth buying even if only just to ride around on horses, the horse controlls are quite responsive, even if the controlls in general take some getting used to. They give you a nice big world to explore and adventure in and a large selection of horses all over to ride, after playing GUN I'm kinda hoping TP's riding controlls for horses and boars is simillar. In GUN you can make your horse run faster or skid along the ground to plow into enemies, you can make the horse rear up so as to trample enemies and make it jump whenever you want. Such controlls for TP's horse and other ride-able animals would make certainly give some nice polish to an already outstanding looking game.

Anyone else agree?

Well by what your saying... They sound exactly like TP's controls.
To what I've seen from E3 the horse controls are very good. And I also reckon Nintendo will let you take your horse with you anywhere...Unlike MM or OoT...It should be very interactive.

I would love to see such interactivity and horse-control in the Zelda games. If anyone has played Shadow of the Colossus for PS2, and seen the sheer realism and cinematic majesty that can be achieved in even just riding the horse, they would know that the possibility for outstanding horseback capabilities is out there.

Nintendo's games have been about simplicity. A to jump, B to shoot basicly. They might let you do a few "tricks" with the horse but I don't expect extreme physics horse riding controls.

I agree to a point. I don't think horses should be allowed in dungeons/temples. But they should be able to go anywhere on the World Map.

Yeah! Like in towns, forest, mountains, etc. That would be awasome.

LOL! I was not trying to take it that far... It was annoyed me that you could not take your horse into a town or into the Woods... Just stuck in Hyrule Field. But going into dungeons... thats not possible =P (Though the horse is a big element Im sure there will be atleast two Boss fights on the horse. Incluing the one which we have already seen.)

One of the screen shots (I dont know how to post it but i bet you could V99) of TP shows link on horseback in a forrest, so apparently you will be able to go everywhere on horse back, except temples and houses ofcourse!

Re: Curing the 'No-horse' blues.

Really I think it will be that you just can't take your hose anywhere that would break it's leg, or where it would be indecent. So I definitely think that it will be able to enter some dungeons.

Offtopic: Also, GUN looks fun, I love expansive environments and I would love the horseplay. I should get it.
