The Hookshot: New Possibilities?

I just came up with this idea on the spot:

What if, in Twilight Princess, instead of pulling himself towards enemies, it pulls his enemies towards him, like in Smash Bros? I think that this could help bring Link's combat style to a whole new level. Like, he could pull the Moblin towards him, then you can attack with different kinds of sword attacks.

Discuss.

Re: The Hookshot: New Possibilities?

Interesting. But that idea was already taken in WW, if you used it on an enemy, the enemy came closer to you. So, idea taken already.

Re: The Hookshot: New Possibilities?

Ya he's right, but I would like to see that in TP, but in WW the enemy wasn't even startled whilE in SSBM you got to instantly do an attack on them. I Hope they make it more advanced in TP (if it is in TP)

Re: The Hookshot: New Possibilities?

Ya know, the hookshot was always my favorite weapon BECAUSE it pulled Link around. Man I would play with that thing for HOURS in Gerudo Valley... *memories* So while this is a pretty cool idea, already used or not, I with they would go back to the OoT hookshot.

Re: The Hookshot: New Possibilities?

I like the idea.

Link hookshots a moblin, then holds his sword out in front of him, and lets the Moblin rush to his death. But that might be too violent for Zelda.

Re: The Hookshot: New Possibilities?

It worked fine in SSMB. And of course, for puzzles and such, the Hookshot would pull Link towards his target, like when he shot it at the stages in SSBM.

But I don't see how the combo's would be violent, you use them in WW anyways.

Re: The Hookshot: New Possibilities?

I think the most likely addition to the hookshot would be to combine it's abilities with that of the grappling hook from Wind Waker. just think, it's just like the hookshot, only with a longer chain, and with the ability to lock the chain in place, allowing you to swing across longer gaps. this would be a great addition. besides, why carry two separate items when you can carry one item that does both the jobs of the other two?

Re: The Hookshot: New Possibilities?

No. It only made them come closer to u if they were small in WW
if they were big it pulled butterfly jewellery out of them (O.o Eh?!)
And "because its been used before" is no excuse for nintendo to throw away good ideas
