Tattoos on Zoras

I think tattoos might be a common thing in TP, Wolflink has one on his head and that Goron has some, or maybe it's body paint. I know that's not really alot but the other Goron's probably have tattoos too, and I wouldn't be suprise to see the Zoras with tattoos. I think tattoos would really give the Zoras some attitude.
Maybe different skin color Zoras too, different shades of blue, or even a black one. But my point is I think tattoos are going to be a common thing for races including a few Hylians. I don't know why, I just get that impression.

Comments anyone? I know it's not that great of a thread. :embrsd:

Re: Tattoos on Zoras

Yea, they probably will be on all the races. But it might just be the art style of the game. The "tattoos" might just be part of the art style of the game. But it might also mean something. I have noticed one thing though, maybe all things effected by the Twilight Realm have the swirls on them, kind of something to represent their corruption. Like in one interview it was said that the Gorons might not be what we expect. Maybe they have been influenced by the Twilight Realm and are evil now? Who knows, just a theory. Anyway, your post sparked some thoughts in my head. Very good post.

But if the gorons( and maybe the zoras) are in the twilght princess, shouldn't they be changing into something then just be evil?
And ya, the zoras should have some kind of tattoos so they could look more cooler than only seeing the white skin.

If not tattoos, then at least naturally occuring markings, even if variations of them. For example the Zoras could have these white scar-looking markings on their bodies & no two are the same. Just like dolphins... or tigers... or zebras. Okay so the latter two are a little bit different, but you get the idea.

It would be nice to seem some differences between those beings affected by the Twilight Realm, but not so drastically changed (or are drastically changed psychologically). It would be interesting to see a dark-colored Zora for instance.

But then again, there is the risk of going overboard with the detail. Too much & it can be distracting to the eye. The object would seem "busy." That's the trick really with anything artistic, is to skillfully use enough detail, but not too much, that makes the image good & not overbearing. Plus could the Gamecube actually handle it? Well I'm personally confidant that it can. Some folks tend to underestimate the Gamecube, belittling it & calling it a kiddie system. But I think the Gamecube is more powerful than others give it credit for.

And then there's the matter of music. I think it's safe to presume that the major players in this game (Link, Zelda & Ganon) will have their own theme music that we'll all recognize. And there will be the music for the fields, towns & dungeons. These add to the environment, making it more evocative... And making you a part of it. It would be interesting if there was a variant theme for Twilight-affected beings of the different races. In any case, I think Kondo-san (& those working with him in developing the music) will be out doing himself when it comes to this game.

While eye candy is will be nice, we gots to have ear candy too.

Re: Tattoos on Zoras

I'd love to see variations of body art on races, it'd give me ideas for some tatoos in later life.
Darmani had a different tatoo to other gorons in majoras mask so i guess gorons have tatoos related to status, this'd be cool for zoras too.

Re: Tattoos on Zoras

If you remember, in Majora's Mask the Zora Band members also had tattoos so I wouldn't be surprised if they did in Twilight Princess...

Re: Tattoos on Zoras

yeah thats true, majoras mask had wuite a few tattooed individuals as i recall, Darmani the goron for one as well as the indigogos.
As far as the variations of characters in races thing goes, i think that the character models in Wind Waker have set a benchmark that people will expect nintendo to exceed. i'm completely confident that nintendo can get alot more out of the gamecube than we are used to, after all, just imagine showing someone some of the twilight princess footage ten years ago and saying that this is what they can expect from the console after the N64, or even compare it to the original spaceworld 2000 zelda video and see how much more they have managed to push the machine in mere graphics. its alot. Its also good if you compare the character models from OOT to the ones in majoras mask. there were ALOT more variations. I counted 9 zora models alone, in comparison to the 4 that existed in OOT so i think we can expect something very special as far as character models go for this game.

Clearly from what we have see of it already everything has been crafted lovingly and to a level i would never have thought possible from a machine of this generation a few years ago and don't forget that this is almost definately the last game that nintendo themselves are making for this console so they are going to want to push it as much as possible to set a decent benchmark for the 2nd and 3rd parties to have to exceed for the next console.

This is why i believe the slightly sad truth that some of the best games always come at the end of a consoles life.

Is that a question? We haven't seen the Zora's yet, I'm just saying they probably will have tattoos.

Re: Tattoos on Zoras

the consistency between the released official art shares the swirling/decorative paint patterns on almost every character (link and the stalfos and spider and whatever don't have them) but I'm pretty sure the zora's will...its obvious they'll change a bit, since all the recycled characters have (goron, zelda, etc.)...I'm looking forward to seeing them again, though!

Re: Tattoos on Zoras

Hm... Yeah, tattoos would be good on the races, especially if they were used to show differences in social status. Yeah, we can expect tattoos on at least some characters. You know, ever since OoT, there has been at least one Hylian without his shirt on with tattoos all over his back. Hm...

Exclamation tatos acording to personality

I think it would be cool that Zoras (and other tribes) had tatoos that tell us how they are psycologichally. For example, a Zora that was shy, his tatoos would be... pink and some simbol that his meaning was shy, and it could exist some guy on the Zora´s territory that tell us the meaning of each simbol and color. (it would be diferent in each race of course).

Re: Tattoos on Zoras

I would like to see different tatoos depending on the sub area which you are in, that the gorons should not only inhabit a large mountain, but also some rock lands miles and miles away, two different cultures within the same race so to say.

Also, Tatoos would be used to show social status, who is poor, who is rich, I know that precious metal and foot bands are used in toaru, not tatoos, despite link's hands tatoo.
