yeah thats true, majoras mask had wuite a few tattooed individuals as i recall, Darmani the goron for one as well as the indigogos.
As far as the variations of characters in races thing goes, i think that the character models in Wind Waker have set a benchmark that people will expect nintendo to exceed. i'm completely confident that nintendo can get alot more out of the gamecube than we are used to, after all, just imagine showing someone some of the twilight princess footage ten years ago and saying that this is what they can expect from the console after the N64, or even compare it to the original spaceworld 2000 zelda video and see how much more they have managed to push the machine in mere graphics. its alot. Its also good if you compare the character models from
OOT to the ones in majoras mask. there were ALOT more variations. I counted 9 zora models alone, in comparison to the 4 that existed in
OOT so i think we can expect something very special as far as character models go for this game.
Clearly from what we have see of it already everything has been crafted lovingly and to a level i would never have thought possible from a machine of this generation a few years ago and don't forget that this is almost definately the last game that nintendo themselves are making for this console so they are going to want to push it as much as possible to set a decent benchmark for the 2nd and 3rd parties to have to exceed for the next console.
This is why i believe the slightly sad truth that some of the best games always come at the end of a consoles life.
