Twilight Princess difficulty (pardon me if there is another title similar to this)

Yeah... people have tried finishing every Zelda game with three hearts and it has now become a widely dicussed issue... anyhow... Does anybody know the difficulty of TP? I believe it is nearly the same as anything else, but please PM me if you've finished TP with three hearts. I will make sure you get a part of this forum... but only to the person who finishes it first!

Re: Twilight Princess difficulty (pardon me if there is another title similar to this)

I hope TP is much more challenging than Oot and MM.
But when TP comes out I'm going to play it normally and when I begin with a second save then I will try to finish the game with 3 hearts.

I think ww was a bit on the easy side but it wasn't meant to be difficult. I do hope tp challenges me to the extent of me pummeling something to near destruction. (I have mental problems)

off topic: this should be in future zelda, as the game has not be released yet (sorry for modding... lol)

Re: Twilight Princess difficulty (pardon me if there is another title similar to this)

Twilight Princess should have a high difficulty. Not only have we been wanting a more mature and realistic Zelda game, but we have also wanted something with more of a challenge. Nintendo knows this, of course, and they will be using this to their advantage. By giving Twilight Princess a higher difficulty level, fans who have put the games on the shelf will have a reason to pick the games up again and lead once-loyal fans back to the franchise.

They should try making Zelda with three mods: hard, normal and easy. And when you've finished the game on hard, you can try insane. They should one day!

I couldn't have said it better myself. I do agree that TP will have a high level of difficulty.
I also think that there will be more emotion put into this game, like the Wind Waker. We all realize that nobody can wait for Twilight Princess to come out.

We will have waited for two years for this game to be released, let alone one year for the name. That sucks! I want to play it now!

What's wrong with Halo fans?

Oh well, whatever.

Yea, I'll be one of the first to challenge TP on three hearts. Probably the same day I finish the game i'll start my new quest. But it'll take me awhile to make another minimum run like my OoTs. . So in about 2 months after, I'll have my best runs ready likely.

I have completed Ocarina Of Time without the following items.

Hylian Shield, Eye of truth, Fire and ice arrows, Nayru's love and Farore's wind, Deku nuts, Ammo upgrades, Special swords, Golden skulltulas, Extra hearts/heart pieces, coated hearts, The song of Storms, the sun song, Epona's song, scarecrow song, and any extra bottles.

If anyone knows how to get around using bombchus in Ganon's Tower, PM me. I have tried everything.

Currently working on a similar runthrough with Master Quest/and minimum running ALttP now.
Also 3 hearted - tWW, MM, OoT MQ (Not sure if what i have is minimum though).

I agree with this completely. I think that this will allow you to get a feel for the game by first playing it on easy, and then move up to normal and hard, and then to the "ARE YOU INSANE!?!?!? YOU WILL NEVER BEAT THIS DIFFICULTY!!!!!" difficulty, where you start with one heart, and recovery hearts only give one fourth a heart, etc.

Re: Twilight Princess difficulty (pardon me if there is another title similar to this)

They should deffently make it a bit more harder. Like OoT Master Quest (for those who've played it knows how hard it is) only harder.

Yeah, I know what you mean about MQ. That game gets on my nerves a lot. And if TP is harder than it, it would have been worth the wait.

Re: Twilight Princess difficulty (pardon me if there is another title similar to this)

I hope it has many dungeons along with many sidequests. Like mixing OoT Master Quest and MM. That would be close to perfect as perfect gets. But with harder bosses. OoT and MM had pretty easy bosses. Plus a huge overworld. I haven't played MQ but I've seen guides for it in Nintendo Power, so if it is that hard, if not harder, it will be the ultimate zelda so far.

Re: Twilight Princess difficulty (pardon me if there is another title similar to this)

TP is supposed to be 70 hours long. YOu would get like 3 rows of hearts. I expect that they want us to use them. I think it will be impossible.

Re: Twilight Princess difficulty (pardon me if there is another title similar to this)

It's true. I read somewhere that it's supposed to be a 70 hour game. But I'm sure that you will get 20 hearts just like all the other Zelda's.

Re: Twilight Princess difficulty (pardon me if there is another title similar to this)

Master Quest is like the gold standard for difficulty. The bosses were easy compared with the redesigned dungeons, but the puzzle levels in MQ were perfect.

If twilight princess in a true Zelda, it won't even need adjustable difficultly. There will always be insane side-quests and such. Take OoT: the dungeons and bosses weren't bad, but the Gerudo shooting grounds, ice arrows, special challenges, etc. were pretty good.

You're kind of right. I didn't really find anything in OoT challenging, but Master Quest's puzzles were perfect in difficulty. The only way I can see pleasing both veterans and newbs to Zelda, is to make difficulty levels selectable.

Thats what i was thinking but if you realy need an easy mode just find all the pieces of hearts and all the bottles and fill them with faries. OoT was realy easy battle wise (shield and sword fighting in that game was stupidly easy outside of bosses, I even found iorn knuckles easy, just slash then backflip.

when i get ww this xmas and TP in april I hope they make it moderatly hard, also they should make TP with some sort of second quest or make the non boss mobs stupidly hard.

theres no way they can add 100 hours of game play, id love if they did but i dont see it hapening. what should be the gameplay mesurment is how fast some one can do a speed run.

Re: Twilight Princess difficulty (pardon me if there is another title similar to this)

What I hate is when I comepleted Sands of Time on the set difficulty, then I turned on Warrior Within, it had Easy, Normal, Hard. I put it on easy and found it far too easy to I will complete again in hard.

I hope TP will have a set difficulty as it makes me try more, like say if I cant do a bit ill think well other people can and do it and get through it. With the difficulty setting you think well other people may have completed it on easy or on hard, it gets very confusing.

I want it to be hard, hard puzzles, hard bosses. I like it like that, you get a better sense of achievment after completing it.
