The New Princess

Hi everyone, I know I haven't been on much lately but oh well I'm back for the time being and I just thought of something while searching through the Forums. If this new zelda game takes place a few decades after OoT then what happened to the old Princess Zelda. You know the one from OoT. This new Zelda looks to be in her late teens early 20's while if it were the OoT Zelda then she would be 30 or so.... however many decades it is. So where did OoT Zelda go? And is this new Zelda her daughter or what? I guess I have no answers just questions to this mystery and I hope it is explained in the game. Oh well Speculate all you like I would love to hear some theories so that I might get closer to the answers. Have a nice day and keep the gaming real!!

I've been discussing this with a friend as well. There are theories goign on about Oot Link maybe being in it, though I think we should look to princess Zelda.

This Zelda is most likely 17 or 18 since EA stated that Link was 17. If it's only a few decades later then Princess Zelda from Oot Should still be alive and then this princess Zelda should be her daughter.

Who knows if she will be new or not. But I am guessing she probabaly will be.

If she the old one you girl gotta find the massacre she's using then (too look that young still).


It more than likely new, put will we see the old one as well?

Ive been wondering about something:- what if some of the Zelda games have no correspondation to each other? Just a thought. I think its a new Zelda personally because the OOT Zelda would be in her lae 30s by then but it could be OOT Zelda because you cant judge her age with that cloak on her head.

It hasn't been confirmed how many decades, it might be 90 and OoT Zelda might be dead. Same with OoT Link.

If they are still alive, well, Zelda would be in the chamber of sages and Link would be off somewhere, like Termina (remember, The Hero Of Time never returned). Therefor you wouldn't see either of them, even if they were alive.

I have to disagree about the decades, yes it's true it hasn't been confirmed how many decades, but EA said a few. When I hear a few, I'm thinking 30, 40 or maybe even 50, but that's it.

Yea I have been wondering how EA is gonna pull this off... He says you will see familiar faces, But the timeline is so close to OoT, OoT Link and Zelda are sure to be around and alive.

We may see them we may not.

Look, guys, I don't think there is a continuing in every Zelda game. I think its just a new game everytime and the same characters.

About Link you're right, but about Zelda not. Yes she is the 7th sage but she's different than the other 6. Zelda needs to stay in Hyrule to rule the land. The king is dead, queen I assume she's dead since we never hear from her. So who's going to rule Hyrule? Zelda, that's who. Also it's obvious because she and link meet again at the endmovie from Oot. She does not remain as a sage, and if she does it's only the future Hyrule, not the one where she's young.

yea, zelda would still be in hyrule. and by the way, EA said SEVERAL decades, and EGM put few decades in brackets, meaning EA never actually said few. several means a bit more than few. it's likely zelda from OOT is alive, but she's not the main zelda of the game.

Just two things to say:
1. I would like to correct myself by sayin Zelda would actually be in her late 20s or early 30's because when Link put the Master Sword back, they were turned young again/traveled back in time or whatever.
2.EA said 2 decades after OOT but Im not really sure how the hell hes going to make this work. Hell probably change the time orientation of TP, you never know....

He might not actually care about the timeline. He might just be making Zelda games that have some link to each other. Its possible but unlikely.

But think the these 20 years might be like the
100 years of the WindWaker which this time was actually hundrends of years.

I think that they're just going to make a new Zelda game. People still persist on this continuing story... when you think about it, other than with a few of the recent console game, how have past Zelda games really effected the newer ones? Not much at all, unless you're talking about OoT and Wind Waker. I'd say that they're just going to maybe make a few references to the other games and make it totally seperate.

well, in just about every zelda game, its a new zelda, and a new link... other then the exceptions, like oot and mm. so where they go... in the memory lane i guess.... *sniffs* :'(

I see that someone hasn't paid ANY attention at all to the end of MM. Link DOES return. NO WHERE in TWW does it say that he never returned.

Anyway, if TP takes place between OoT and TWW I'm pretty sure it'll take place several centuries after OoT. Aonuma's statement can have easily been a mistranslation.

Actually, I think its you thats wrong. Go watch the begining (sp?) of Wind Waker again. It does say that the Hero of Time never returned. And at the end of Majoras Mask, it doesn't say that he returned. He goes back to the woods he was in at the begining, but I imagine he gets lost there or something. But thats always been a mystery. So theres no need to snap at him/her like that - even if he was wrong.
