boo or yay delay?

yowza, it's been a while since i posted...
guess i always get jazzed up about new games and come back (i'm such a nerd!)
honestly, though, i haven't been this excited for a zelda game since i waited for what seemed like an eternity for wind waker to arrive preordered at my door (which is funny because i got four copies plus four bonuses.)
since the 64 days i was never on the internet this much so the flow of information about new zelda games didn't hook me and lead me to insane waiting, and i would just see the commercials hoping i could get the game for christmas from "santa."
knowing about these new titles and their delays drives me NUTS though, and trying to not worry about the passing time is just a horrible form of inner-id torture.
but hearing that the delays for tp would lead to extra beauty and fun in-game makes the suffering less dreadful.
it has given me a boost in hope and anticipation while appeasing my thirst for news and washed a feeling of "sigh" through my geeky mind.
instead of asking about what they will add or speculating about whether or not they are actually genuine in what they claim about the delays, why not pose a less-nerdy question:

did the delay laced with added bonuses in the final copy excite or betray your hopes?

and, for the heck of it, would you take a copy right now in it's development or be patient and wait for that sweet nintendo stamp of complete approval?

no matter what, nintendo=quality!

Re: boo or yay delay?

Well, i couldn't help feeling disapointed when i heard the game was to be delayed, but ,since its for the better, i'm over that disapointment and now exited to see how they are going to improve the game. I'm happy enough to wait for the game to be finished so i can truely say its the best zelda game so far!

Damn, you should have made this a poll!

Excite or betray? Initially Betray.

Would I take a copy now? Certainly not! I want Nintendo's seal of quality

Re: boo or yay delay?

I'm actually glad that it's being delayed. Otherwise, we might get another rushed crap game like WindWaker. Though, I will admit that WindWaker has its good points aside from it being rushed. The delay has actually made me want the game even MORE than before. I've been wanting it since I saw stuff about it forever long ago, but now that I know Nintendo's working to make it the best on the system, I can manage to wait. lol Besides, now I can put money on the thing and have it paid off before I actually pick it up when it comes out. lol!

EDIT: I forgot! I'd take a copy now if it meant being able to trade it in later for the finished product. XD But thinking more logically, I'm wanting to wait for them to get it just right before "Christmas" comes. If ya get my drift. *sly grin*

Re: boo or yay delay?

Well I am happy to see Nintendo really trying with this game... Its really postive. All of us would of been disappointed when we heard the news because it feels like we have been waiting forever for this game.

I mean I first saw TP May 2004...e3... So we would have almost waited two long years for this game. Thats a pretty long time for a Game to be made. And of course Nintendo were basicly making TP right after they finished tWW.

WW was released in Dec 2002 in Japan. So if they release TP in April... They have had 3 years and 4 months to make this game the best damn Zelda game ever.

The longer we wait, better the game... I can see it now 10/10 on every review... TP the game of the year.

Its going to be Ocarina of Time all over again
So yes, I am happy Nintendo pushed back the release date to make TP a overal better game

Re: boo or yay delay?

Well, it sucks that we wont be able to get the full zelda experience in November, but! we will surely have a demo soon, somthing to sink our teeth into. I'm almost positive TP will be game of the century.

Re: boo or yay delay?

i think its both: Boo and Yay.

Boo: Because i wanted to play the game before the summer holidays (i live in argentina).
Yay: Because now i know its going to be super awesome. And the new screenshots were cool too.

Re: boo or yay delay?

Well Im gutted that I will not be able to play it any time soon, But Im glad to see they would rather put it back behind Christmas (biggest time of year for games) than let us have a shody Zelda game, That shows real determination to make sure quality provails.
And when it does come out it WILL be AWSOME.

Re: boo or yay delay?

it kinda sucks that we have to wait even longer mostly because i'm very impacient. but if they are going to make it even better with more levels and stuff, it will be worth it i think. man, i need a new zelda game now.

Do we really need another thread about this? Please go read the other one and post there...I'm kind of tired of reading all of the same opinions and things again in another thread. It has passed now, leave it be, or bring something new in the discussion, this is pointless.

Re: boo or yay delay?

I'm actually really unhappy about the whole thing, so definatley Betrayal and a large boo to go with it! But I suppose in the long run it will all turn out OK, I have every faith in Nintendo. As for whether I'd rather a copy now or a finished version, I'd take the finish version with Nintendo's seal of quality any day. Here's hoping that it doesn't take them too long to put the icing on the cake.

Edit :

You're right actually, why should I care if the forum is clogged up with pointless threads.
Mostly consisting out of selfexplaining(which is the same for most of the people)-post-increasement posts instead of some good discussion.

But, to make my post contribute to this thread. Meh:

Boo: No boo, Nintendo may do as they please, I trust them.
Yay: It shows their dedication to the quality of the game instead of aiming for good holiday sales.

yeah i agree with the poll thing...and i say BOO...they've made many people so excited over this game and then *BOMB* *BOOM* they drop the bomb...."yes were having to delay this for technical issues." like i said crappy 20-30 dollar games or 5-10 min demos of what they already have with all the bugs and stuff. It was perfect timing too! I wanted it for Christmas! :moodswing
