An idea for a zelda game.

okay you are a hylian knight a respectible one who when he was a young man you fight the bloody war of hyrule. (before Link was born.) Serve Along with link's parents get to know them. Serve Many Duties For Example create the path to goron city to kokiri forest. A wild monster got released in hyrule and you can be hired to stop it. You could also use missions like solve the drought at Zora River and then your last mission is trying to fight ganondorf to save hyrule castle. Then you get to a certian point then there is nothing you can do. Anyways this game gets you the chance to see the war in hyrule battle meet link's parents, See inside hyrule castle, and many more things. It is a good oppertunity but the possibility of happening 1.5%

That's similar, minus some of the story elements, to an MMORPG that has been discussed here to excess.
It's not bad, but it's hyrule, not zelda
And i wouldn't want anything to do with link unless im playing as him, so i wouldn't like the whole, get to know his parents thing

yeah it could be called tales of hyrule oh here's an idea you can save link's mother from total death from ganondorf and make sure she gets to the deku tree

That would never work. No one Knight could do all that. Besides, Ganon wasn't responsible for the war. It was not apparent that he was evil until Link grabbed the Master Sword (well, you did, but nobody else knew). Otherwise, the king would never have let him into the castle.

Does not sound very fun... Rather very boring, And chances of it happening are 0.00% I can tell you that now =P

Its woudnt be the zelda series if you didnt play as link.

Hmmm, maybe play as Zelda then on a different storyline next to OoT or an other game? Could be interesting, or not. Just a thought.

And then the game would be called: Link: Hero of Time.

These ideas ae great, but not proffesional, if Nintendo did do it, expect lots of loss.

Maybe a side game. Maybe at best.

ok it is a good idea but the plot would need alot of refineing and i thought his parents died in the war... yea they did i rember in oot the great deku tree told him his mom died trying to save him, so your idea of playing the parents might not work.

Ok, seriously, this whole idea of yours is pretty cliched. Im pretty sure it was thought of before, so I wouldn't even bother working on it. I mean, if you want origonality, try not having Ganondorf in it as this can make for a very intresting enemy.

That has a 0% chance of happening because it doesn't deal with Link or Zelda. Plus, it's crap.

I would not call that a Zelda game. This would be the only Zelda game without Link being the hero, so I'd rather not call it a Zelda game. It has a small essence of Zelda elements, but not enough to declare it a Zelda game.

Everyone sumed it up pretty well already, but maybe you can write a fan-fic about this. Because it sounds and would feel nothing like Zelda.

Well, actually now that I think of it, you could play the role of Link's father. The game would have a dark, dramatic approach, and he would die in the end...

... Of course, like Link, his Dad would look just like him, and basically be able to do the same things. Because he fights in a war though, the game would be too violent to be a Zelda Game.
