Bosses in Alttp.

A Link To The Past contained some of the best boss fights in Zelda history, Blind the Magician, Aghanim, The Helmasaur King to name but a few. If any of the bosses could be re-incarnated in TP which ones would you like to see and why?
Personally I think a 3D Helmasaur King would look awesome, I had chills when I first fought him in Alttp, he was the first really challenging boss and also was one of the best looking creatures. I really love the way Nintendo always re-creates old classic enemies in their new Zelda games, and I hope that TP will continue this trend.

Re: Bosses in Alttp.

Maybe Moldorm, because it was one of the strangest boss I killed in a video game and I think it would be cool to fight it in TP. Helmasaur king too he is cool, I would like to fight him in 3-d wich should be more difficult than in ALTTP. Ganon should be a good choice because I start to be tired of fighting always Ganondorf.

Pretty much, yes. The strategy with Moldorm is to hack at his tail. As for Puppet Moldorm...same thing, but you have to first shoot it with a Light Arrow, and then hack away. So far the only bosses from 2D games that have made it over to 3D (except for Ganon) would be Dodongo (LoZ to OoT), Gohma (LoZ to OoT), Shadow/Dark Link (AoL to OoT), Lanmolas (ALttP to MM?), Moldorm (ALttP to tWW), Agahnim (ALttP to tWW), Mothula (ALttP to tWW..as a mini-boss), Angler (LA to MM...as Gyorg..same thing but tougher), Evil Eagle (LA to tWW as Helmaroc King), and Ramrock (OoA to tWW...he's a form of Gohdan).

Now if there was going to be another Moldorm for TP, I hope it's the one used from FSA. But instead of different colors corresponding to different Links, it would be different colors corresponding to what different weopon Link must use to attack it's weakness. Silver for sword, Purple for bombs (use bomb arrows for better accuaracy), Spikey Tail for Megaton Hammer (if there is going to be one), and a fourth form for a fourth weopon that I can't think of.

And of course Trinexx...there has never been any other boss quite like him (he is a spoof off of Gleeok...but a more powerful spoof).

Re: Bosses in Alttp.

Come on, obviously the best boss to be shown in full 3D would have to be Trinexx. Seriously, having ice shots to make you slip, while the other is attacking you with flame shots, all the while, you have to worry about not getting hit by his stone head made him one of the most challenging and fun bosses of all time.

This boss has a lot of potential to be a challenging boss in future Zelda titles.

Yes! Trinexx in TP would rule! Also... Helmasaur, as someone already said, and maybe Khold Stare? Anyone remember him?

Yeah it would be nice to see Agahnim again, that is where the whole 'Lethal tennis' thing started (like Ganondorf battle in OOT) in Alttp you could use a net to deflect the ball of light, in OOT you could use the bottle, which was fun. Trinexx is another great creature that would look awesome in TP, has anyone else noticed the Zelda doesnt really have many Dragons init? I think thats a bit of a shame as Dragons are amazing.

I think that Trinexx would have to be my favorite for a 3D boss. That would be awesome!

Trinexx!!!

Naturally, Trinexx would be my first pick, but I think that Helmasaur King would be pretty sweet in 3D, as well as Mothula and Khold Stare.

^^" I dunno any of the boss names, but I'm sorta guessing at what they are by the descriptions. And I'm gunna guess that Helmasaur King is the giant scorpion thing? *shrug* Whatever, the scorpion's my all time favourite Zelda boss, and I'd LOVE to fight it in 3D.

What?

LoZ: Aquamentus, Gleeok
AoL: Barba (I think that's his name)
OoT: Volvagia
WW: Valoo
TMC: Gleerok

There's bound to be a few I missed out, but that's a pretty decent-sized list, right? Not many dragons... Pffft.

Volvagia actually premiered in AoL. He was just reincarnated in OoT.

He wasn't called Volvagia in AoL, though. He was called Barba, or something similar. Fact remains, there have been a lot of dragons on the Zelda series. *Wonders if WW Gohma counts*

I don't think Barba and Volvagia are the same...wasn't Volvagia supposibly beaten by a Goron weilding the Megaton Hammer in the past? And plus (if you want to look at it in a timeline perspective) OoT is the first Zelda game, so AoL come afterwards.

No, Gohma doesn't count. Gohma has always been an insect/spider/crab like creature.

LoZ: Crab
LA: Crab
OoT: Arachnid (Spider)
OoA: Crab
tWW: Centipede (Insect): She was pretty much a large version of a Magtail
FSA: Crab
TP: Spider

Now, please refrain from going off topic. The topic at hand is Bosses in ALttP that you'd like to see in TP (I'll broaden up the subject to "Bosses from 2D that you'd like to see in 3D").

Go off topic again, and I'll have to lock this thread.

Re: Bosses in Alttp.

According to the collector's edition Zelda guide, the dragon in AoL is called Volvagia. *shrug* They might have changed it though. I don't really know.

EDIT: And I really wouldn't classify WW Gohma as one. It's more of a giant bug in my opinion.

Re: Bosses in Alttp.

That's what I was thinking. Speaking of giant bugs, I'd like a rematch with the Moldorm. Sword + tail = one helluva cool boss fight.

The Puppet Ganon Snake battle was really similar to the Moldorm, IMO it was a little annoying. I don't think I'd like to see another Moldorm-alike in TP.
