gorons in TP

ok everyone saw the goron fighting link in the second trailer right well i think you have to fight a goron to prove to the gorons you are worthy or whatever i hope we see plenty of gorons and zoras dont care to much about deku scrubs but i wouldnt mind if we saw a few what do you think ?

It could be a training battle.

nah, i dont think that. His face is way to angry to be a training. Im sure the gorons are very scared, because of the twilight and stuff and seeing an unknown face entering their mountain makes them nervous. So you must probe them that you are trustworthty.

The Goron is fighting Link because he is possesed. This is almost confirmed.

Watch the Baboon fight. Notice that when it dies, a spider like being comes off of its face and explodes in a way that resembles the bright colors of the Twilight Realm. Now the Baboon is good again, and goes on to help you against the Forest Temple Boss. Now you make the connection with the Goron. Same deal.

i dont think i saw the spider like creature in the gorons head, maybe it was on his back.

Agreeing with Sheik84. The goron could be possesed.and your goal is to get him out of breath and strike his head when he gets tired?<(jus a thought.

Maybe the Spider was behind his head. But who knows, I think its going to be cool to fight a Goron one on one... Hopefully Link will be a man, and he drops his Sword and Shield and goes man to man with the Goron =P

Yes, I had that same exact thought as well, because gorons have never been an angry, vicious type of race, they are more friendly than anything (perhaps too friendly). Although that fight does look fun ... I don't think that is all of the goron's we will find in there. Either it was Link's training, or a test to prove himself for ... whatever it was he needed to prove to them.

Maybe the goron was the goron was under control by the twilight and had to fight link.

I never really thought the Goron could be possessed, but I suppose it could work in a similar way to Metroid Prime 2 where the Ing possess creatures.

not exactly, in MP2:E, the Ings infested the bodies and turned them to a different animal, such as the space pirates. In TP, we see Badboon (Forest Temple Mini Boss) with that spider creature on top of his head, and when its destroyed, he remains the same. So, the goron is not possesed, which leaves me with 3 options: Link is in a training and Link fights him to prove himself or the gorons are evil.
Im gonna stick with number two, because of two reasons, if it was a training, i think there should be gorons in the background. And because the gorons are normaly a peaceful race, so i dont think theyre enemies.

seriousley... the people who play these demos suck so badly.... when watching the baboon fight it looks really easy but the people playing it are really crappy

what if the twilight darkness is just making them more violent by taking thir poeple also, and they
probably think links came from it or is an enemy. maybe it was like confusion
