Well, EGM had another interview with Eiji Aonuma during E3. the first thing that I'd like to say is "sorry". I've been telling people that
TP is based
after WW, and that is not true. It is based a few decades after
OoT. In fact, they are so close that some of the characters from the N64 hit are still alive. Aonuma hinted that some familiar gorons, hylians, and possibly zoras will be in the new game.
Midna, the cat-like character we've been seeing on Link's back in his twilight form (the wolf), starts out with some simple attacks, but can be upgraded as the game goes along.
Many of you have been talking about Zelda fighting in
TP. This talk has risen from the artwork that featured her in some light armor with a sword. I give you a qoute by Aonuma from the interview:
"...perhaps when [Zelda] sees what Link's been doing she will think that, by co-operating with him, there's a chance that she could save Hyrule. So the natural progression would be to think that they'll [work together] in some way"
If that's not what we've been looking for, I don't know what is.
And, of course, Link's interaction with animals. In the early trailers, we see Link with some cats and dogs, his horse, a hawk, and many others. We then found out that Link is a werewolf of sorts. This game has an obvious link (no pun intended) to nature. Aonuma hinted that, while a wolf, Link can comunicate with different animals, including his horse.
There was also some unclear Zelda DS information. Aonuma stated that the game will not control like most Zelda games. So, instead of pushing a certain button to have Link swing his sword, you'll swipe at the screen, and he'll swing in that direction. This definetly (sp) seems cool in it's own way, but many fans may not like the new battle format, and opt for the game's console brethren, instead. We'll just have to see.
Oh, and some item info from
TP. We have the return of the lantern. Aonuma has made night so dark, that without a lantern, it will be impossible to navigate outside. This should make battle interesting...
