is it just me or in the newest trailer did anyone notice when link was on horseback how he knocked the fire arrow back

Yeah i noticed this so i seems that it will come in handy in horseback.But it looks like you have to hit it at the right time.

Well on horseback, Link has a few options. He can make the horse go faster (by pressing A), he can use his sword (B), he can block attacks (R...but I think Link uses his sword), and he can use other items (X & Y). So what you saw was Link blocking himself from being attacked by the fire arrow.

that makes sense i guess but it would be better if you could use your sheild to block it or time it with your sword to knock it back to hurt them

i heard it is not only on horseback but also in dungeons you can knock away objects like bomerangs that are coming at you with your sword.

If you watch very carefully the arrow seems to have come from behind, meaning it deflected off the shield on his back while he faught the one in front of him. This looks like a cool innovation so you don't have to worry about what's shooting at you from behind. They didn't have this in any previous Zelda game.

He can block attacks with his sword? Thats new! I bet you can use your bow on horseback, hookshot (if there is one, probably will be), sword and shield! I'm really looking forward to horseback combat on Twilight Princess.

off subject but the game is probably finished almost so i wish they would show us a litle more stuff about the items like maybe the hookshot and the different kinds of arrows

Old news. There was a thread about this the day that trailer was released. Also, I believe there was an article at IGN that specifically mentioned that interesting little feature. This isn't an exact quote, for I've not seen the article in a long time, but they said something along these lines.

"Is this just a flashy rendering, or will it be an available feature in the full version?"

Seeing as how it could be done in the trailer, I'm guessing it's available.

That was something to get excited about. Hell, even I was ecstatic when I found that it was possible to shoot beams out of your sword and anihilate the final boss in ten hits. I was even more excited when I found the little trick that lets you become Fierce Deity Link and then wander around the overworld. I think they removed that in the GCN release, though. It didn't work when I tried it. They denied access to the menu during the little scene when Link helps Kafei get the Sun's Mask back.

Nope, sorry. It's actually the second one. There is a part at the very end of the third trailer, though, in which an arrow comes from the front of Link and somehow hits the shield on his back!? :confused: That's one freaky physics engine.
