Question Re-Deads

Years ago, I was in another Zelda Forum, and there were many complaints on the OoT Re-Deads. Now, in WW, are they any better? And... do you think they're gonna be worse in TP since it has State-of-the-art Zelda graphics? *shiver*

Re: Re-Deads in WW: did they make them any better?

You mean Re-Dead in TP or WW? If it's in WW, then this is in the wrong section.

If you mean the Re-Dead in TP, however, then no one knows for sure because no one has played the game yet. But judging from the demo videos for TP, I can say that the Re-Deads in the game seem very promising of becoming fearsome foes in the tunnels.

I love the Wind Waker re-deads! I nearly crapped myself when I first encountered them in the hidden chambers under the cabana!

Re: Re-Deads in WW: did they make them any better?

No, I didnt like the re-deads in WW. I liked the ones in OoT A lot better because they were actually a bit scary. I never heard any complaints on them in OoT. I think they were fine. (this belongs in general zelda section)

Re: Re-Deads in WW: did they make them any better?

Windwaker redeads are alot more annoying. They are alot harder, exspecially under the 30th floor under the big head on outset. They'll scare Link and then the other enemies can hit Link. It's kind of stupid, Link has the triforce of courage and he's scared of a stupid enemy! Either they're alot harder, or Link's alot weaker.

Re: Re-Deads in WW: did they make them any better?

WW redeads were a lot more wierder than OOT. They had a high pitch scream, vaugly resembeling the scream I made when I saw OOT's redeads. I was lying about that.

I thought the WW Redeads were very cool. The scream was a very nice, scary touch.

Weird, I don't remember seeing any zombie-like enemy in any trailer I've seen. Unless it was the trailer that ZU showed os on the temp site when the servers crashed... I never saw that one.

Anyway, They actually gave a better challenge in WW. The only defense you have is only in a few rooms, and it only distractions them for a split second.

TB's Re-Deads, if they have any, will probably make most unseasoned players, like my brother, wet their beds.

Re: Re-Deads in WW: did they make them any better?

My mother said the Re-Deads in WW sounded like a dying elephant, but I was still freaked about the sound from the first ones. ANd they're sooo loud. I had the volume on 11 (which is low for my TV) and it sounded like me talking it was so loud. SAY.... do the new re deads sound like the Gibdos in MM to you too?

Re: Re-Deads in WW: did they make them any better?

I'm hoping that the new re-deads are a mixture of the two styles, because the other ones were scarier but the newer ones from WW were a lot more eerie. Perhaps if they gave the ones from OoT an elongated face like the WW ones then it would be sufficiently frightening.

He's right. If they gave the new re deads that elephant scream, they might not frighten younger players, or at least give them the WW re dead traits that make them more difficult

Re: Re-Deads in WW: did they make them any better?

It'd be great if TP Re-Deads looked like something ripped straight out of Resident Evil.

Re: Re-Deads in WW: did they make them any better?

WW ReDeads weren't as freaky as OoT ReDeads. The ones from WW looked weirder (but were fun to hit w/ light from the Mirror Shield) & they were more annoying to beat. I remember playing WW & I didn't know that those were ReDeads so I decided to go up to one to kill it, but then SCREAM!! I freaked out & I was like: THEY'RE BACK! AHHH!!!
The ones from OoT were freakier. They looked freakier & their scream still sends chills down my spine. Also their moaning was creepy too, which the ones from WW didn't do.

Actually, it was a general video game forum on Zelda Redeads, and they were mostly just saying they were very scary. *although a couple people admitted they had nightmares about them or couldn't sleep at nights for days*

Re: Re-Deads in WW: did they make them any better?

WW Re-Deads suck, because battling them takes on the same pattern every single time. You walk up, they make an obnoxious noise that freezes you a few yards away, they creep towards you, you snap out of it (rendering there little freeze move useless) and you hit them 4 times. At least for me, that's what happens every single time. The only exception is if I go for a jump attack, trying to break up the pattern. Which is stupid on my part, because it usually doesn't work.
