Should Link Get Married in TP?

I just want to know your thoughts on this. Do you think, after all the girls who've had hearts for him, Link should finally choose one to marry? Also, please don't think of this as a "WHO should Link marry", but instead as "SHOULD Link marry", specifically in TP.

Another thought: Link always says nothing in the course of the games, with the exception of a usual "Hyaaah!!!" when he does a spin attack. Would'nt it be interesting that, if he got married, the only words he'd ever really say in any of the games, was the "I do"?

If Nintendo wants Link and whomever to marry in any of the games, they should do it in TP, as it will probably be the last Zelda on a fine game console, the GC. It would be quite memorable.

No. I don't think it carries the signature Zelda feel should that concept happen. Marriage in the ending also still dosen't feel Zelda. Link is just a vauge character and I don't think giving him a greater background would do justice for some reason. And having marraige midway through the game jsut feels awkward as a whole, I would think.

No, but they could add something like the engagement thing with Ruto from OoT.

You know, where she gives you the third spiritual stone and tells you that she could only give it to the person she would marry, so then when you are older she reminds you of that.

Of course they'd have to change certain points of it to make it original.

Hell no... The concept of Link getting married would turn the phrase Zelda into Final Fantasy, which always has a silly love story in it. Link can have a very cloes friendship, but marriage is out of the question. Not much is known about any of the Links that are shown throughout the series, and thats how it ought to remain. Obviously to continue the bloodline, Link would have to settle down with someone but who's to say we need to know who? Link is better off as a Lone Wolf, and TP prooves that point well enough.

Link should never get married. He has never really had romance, besides what people WANTED him to have with Zelda. It would twist the whole series and piss quite a few fans off... it would loose people, not gain people. And yes, it would make LoZ into a FF game, quite silly if you think about it. Link is about adventure and dungeons. Not romance.

No, Link should stay Single... I mean he's not that old... he and Zelda could have some love story going on but thats prob about it...

Our beloved hero, setteling down? That would be unfathomable.

Simply put, marriage is out of the question. This is Zelda and your on the adventure of a lifetime-- always the main theme of a Zelda game--and it would be very akward to see Link walking down the Hyrule Aile, at anypoint in the game.

A well executed romance however, that'd be interesting. Since Link starts out at 16 in the begining of the game, I don't expect him to act as indifferent to girls as our previous Links have. I just hope, if they do do a romance, they'll not turn it into some below-average save the maid type deal.

You had the option to court and marry men and womenin Fable, but they were more of a sidequest, and for Link, I cannot see it happening - it would make him appear like a womanizer.
I would rather see a 'romance' between another charactr, than actual marriage, if anything, to preserve Link's mystique.

I think he should right at the end. I have always thought of Zelda as a game that basicly simbolizes the experiance of a young boy growing into manhood. So In retrospect I think that right at the end it would be the perfect setting for a wedding problably right in the forest. Than maybe it like says six years later and you see a little baby playing with a sword. I don't know but to me that would be a great ending and it would seem as everything where safe.

Actually I just said that it would be a good ending. And what do you think raising children is? A walk in the park? Wrong! As a kid I know that we are obnocous little *******s! Well, I can't imagine Zelda as a dating sim for some reason. Although medievel culture dictates he's probably old enough(life expectancy was kind of halved, so you were expected do things a lot faster) but still would feel awkward and stuff.

Thoughts are good, but Link getting married is just stupid.

Yeah he can't be married or I'd turn into a soap:

Zelda: So there's a message on the machine that's from a woman name Tiffany.
Link: Tiffany's just a friend.
Zelda: Link, are you seeing women behind my back?
Link: ...
Zelda: (throws a lamp or any random glass object a Link and runs off stage crying)

Aonuma has hinted that romance will go a bit further in this game, but no way should it go as far as marriage. A little kiss could work, but who to kiss? Ilia or Zelda? Link has it tough...

No. Such an event would give the game an awkward feel. It's an action-oriented adventure, not... well... I think a more whimsical ending that dapples chiefly in insinuation would be more appropriate.

No. He shouldn't cause I love him. Selfish? Absolutely. Fan girl? Oh well..
