What Twilight really means

I am sure this has been done b4 inside Twilight Princess threads...

Nice find, I like the pronunciation button. It's good to know a bit more about the meaning of twilight, I always wondered what it actually ment.

Twilight, in this zelda game will mean like a dark side place ore something like that.

I think it would be more like obscurity cause everything is hidden

This has nothing to do with DT's theory and it is a completely different thread. If you want to talk about DT's theory, do it in his thread.

Back on subject,
It is interesting that they picked "Twilight"... It has many meanings, synonyms, and acronyms. They even might have picked it just for that reason, to give some mystery to it. Because that's what the feel of twilight is, uneasiness and mysterious...

the title direktly, but under progress of the game you will understand the meaning of it"

I think the interesting part of the title is the "Princess" part. What does that refer to? The obvious explanation would be that it either refers to minda or peach (or both) but as we all know .. words can be deceiving...

oh.. been playing Battlefield 2 all day - that game messes with your head.. Yeah, Midna and Zelda - of course .. ^_^

The obscured/hidden thing fits with princess, like a hidden princess.

Twilight refers to both dawn and dusk, and in there own sense they represent the oncoming light and oncoming darkness. So wouldn’t Twilight Princess mean Princess of Light and Dark?

A period or condition of decline following growth, glory, or success: in the twilight of his life.

This definition can easily relate to the decline of Hyrule; as it is being swallowed up by the Twilight.

Yes, Twilight is between light and darkness. That said I think it is very interesting that the game is a battle between light and darkness and the Twilight represents the realm between light and dark....hmmmm.
