I don't think TP will be as much like OOT as some think.

It seems like the consensus is that this game will be like Ocarina of Time but larger and with some new mechanics (Wolf, horse combat, etc.). Sure it is presented in a similar way and you play as adult Link, but the

stuff seems to show just how different it will be. Nintendo also says there are other things they can't reveal yet. It wouldn't surprise me if this game was very, very different from OOT. It will probably control more like WW and the story is nothing like any other Zelda from what I can tell. Dungeons might end up similar though, and that's a big part of the game.

Anyways, what do you think? Do you think it will be the Zelda most people seem to want, a game very similar to Ocarina of Time, or do you think it will be a very different sort of adventure?

i'm hoping for an original game, not a huge similarity.

I agree with you, this game will probably "stand out" a lot and not be like the others at all. I think it will remind us more of WW than of OoT once we get into it.

I also think they will try to find the game's "roots" and re-invent a lot of things from the older games (pre-OoT). The boomerang is such an example, the lantern another...

But at the same time it seems like they are using a lot of elements - but upgraded - from recent games, such as vast environments (WW), Fishing (OoT), horseback riding, "sailing" (does not qualify as sailing.. but he does have a boat).

In the end I think this will be a huge mix of all games. Like nice tasty soup with the best elements from all the Zelda games - only upgraded ^_^

I don't know about wanting it to be too much like Oot except for the longing feeling of an amazing game like Oot. Sometimes i just woder will any company make as good of game as Oot

What does it matter if it does not feel like OoT or tWW?

Its Zelda... all Zelda games have there own feeling.. its what makes Zelda so good... It uses the same elements but its always so new and fresh...

I reckon Twilight Princess will just do that...

TP has the Dark World of aLttP, the graphical style of a mix of WW and OoT, and a completely warped new gameplay style, probably more like WW than any other. Overall, it seems to take the most influence from WW, not OoT. In conclusion, it'll be different from the others. Maybe in a good way, maybe in a bad; but it'll be different.

No one ever said it would be like OoT. We don't want it to be. They did say it will be better though.

If it was like OoT I would be dissapointend. I want originality.

If you take a look around the threads you'll see a great bunch of people saying exactly that, "i'm hoping this one will live up to OoT" etc

And before we had confirmation that this was a new Link, a lot (and I say A LOT) of peeps posted around here trying to connect this Link with OoT Link.. and trying to link basically everything to places/things from OoT.

Well when I think of "alike" I think of very similar when it comes to plot, so it doest not look alike there, and on graphics it looks very different. But I think the dungeons will be somewhat similar.

I want it to be different and amazing...I want it to be better than OoT and in order to do that they need to have new and creative ideas. Better puzzles, awesome story line, plot twists, amazing characters, and great replay value.

Last time I checked, Was that IGN.com image...

Wind Waker had sold 3.070.. and OoT sold 7.600...

I just want an original Zelda game. We haven't got one since Majora's Mask.

All of them have been original. Don't tell me a talking bird like hat is not original, and Zelda as a pirate with link accompied by a talking boat. But I have to admit MM was VERY original. lol.
