I think that the trailors give us a great insite to what the new game will be like and will make us want to play it more xD

Re: twilight princess is ruined

I too am a little worried about what they have shown so far in terms of trailers. But in truth, no major twists have been shown, nintendo still has a bunch of secrets.
As far as I'm concerned, I would want perhaps, 3 new screens, and 1 more trailer, and thats it. No articles, no storyline spoilers, no item list, nada, zip nothing.

If nintendo shows something very cool in terms of Zelda, then of course we will want to play it in action, but the problem is when we are shown a clip on somthing that happens midway or near the end of the game, Then we feel the need to rush until we get to that section of the game.

My experience with tWW is a prim example, EGM had an issue about tWW, the reviewers got to play it, gave it an awesome score, and gave us a large amount of gameplay information (which I regard as spoilers) and many many screenshots. One of which was of link in some earthen valley, which I would later find out to be Hyrule, under the sea, en-route to Ganondorf's tower. Up until that point I rushed through the game waiting to see that great earthen valley. when I found out what it actually was, A small limited path, I was greatly disheartened. To find out that I was nearing the end of the story, finding out that I can't explore old Hyrule. ayee.

I think nintendo is treadin on a thin line here by showing us video of the maurader chase/rescuing Colin, simply because it takes place about midway through the game. Now once we get our hands on TP, we'll all feel the need to play through quickly until we get to rescue colin. We won't be able to focus on the present because we will all be thinking "hmm when will I get to rescue colin eh?"

Re: twilight princess is ruined

Yeah, i dont mind so much about the forest temple and taoru village, becuase its only the first dungeon, and wont mimick the one we've seen EXACTLY (in term of item location and order).

But I am a bit concerned about The marauder battle sequence. I think it was fair enough wanting to highlight horseback battles for E3. Now that it takes palce about half way throught the game, I will be sussing out when exactly it will occur.

But just remember what they havent shown us. There are still the plethora of dungeons, the whole goron village thingo, everything to do with the wolf and midna, as well as every other suprise and feature you can imagine. Remember, Nintendo ahve said they want to make twilight princess the quintessential, ultimate zelda game.

Who said that the dungeon and village or anything else shown will be EXACTLY the same as it was shown in the demo when it comes to the final version? For all we know there could be some changes made. Don't worry about it, just like Harman said, remember what they haven't shown us.

Am I the only one who realizes how dumb this is? For all we know they could've shown 2% of the game.

Re: twilight princess is ruined

Are you kidding? Nintendo has showen us alot... This is only the tip of the Ice Berg if you ask me...

What have we seen in the Demo:

-Links Villenge
-The Monster Kidnapping his friend
-Link killing the Monster who kidnapped his friend
-The Forest Temple (I can see Nintendo changeing this name... this was only the e3 show floor name if you ask me)
-Forest Temple Boss

In the other trailers we have seen The Fire Theme Temple, The Fire Temple boss... Some other areas very lightly...
----------------------------------------------------------
So what we don't know is:
-The Story Line
-How Link got his Green Outfit in this game
-How many temples there are and how many diff themes they will have
-What Ganon has todo with this game
-How the whole mystery of the Twilight Realm works
-Where Zelda fits in
-And how many new items and swords and shields we may get..

If you ask me... We don't know that much... There is still alot to look forward too.... All I know is The game so far looks totally awesome and I am just dieing to play it!

Am I the only one who tries to avoid seeing all these things for this very reason? I've seen the three official trailers, but none of the gameplay footage from E3 or anything, and I'm perfectly happy that way.

Me too. I have seen the trailer and the screenshots, and I'm content with that, I don't to know about dungeons or bosses until I play the game.

But even if I know some parts of the game from before, I tend to voluntary "forget" the spoilers, and give myself 100% to the Zelda game.

Bottomline is, if you feel that trailers, pictures and videos will deteriorate your gaming experience, then don't watch it. All Nintendo is doing is promoting its new game.

Trailers don't do too much except give IDEAS, and they don't tell you about every little detail

The only trailer that featured a boss showed the boss itself for slightly over one second. It growled at Link, and then it moved on to another scene of Link shooting a moblin in the face at point-blank range with a bomb arrow. Gotta love that! ...Anyway, my point is that the trailers themselves have spoiled only one thing: The fact that Link turns into a wolf. The particular footage you are referring to is the thirty minutes of gameplay footage from IGNCube. If you don't want to see spoilers, then you should have brain enough to stay away from footage! Live gameplay footage will inevitably show many things that trailers and news breaks did not. If you are worried about spoilers, then I repeat, stay away from footage!

Re: twilight princess is ruined

Well, it doesnt matter anyway. You wern't forced to watch the trailors. Its your choice. If you've had enough information just stop seeing screenshots and trailors and things like that.(like Wielder Of the Sword above said) I think its a good idea to release all those trailors and things. I mean, you need to know what kindof game your going to be buying.

My sentiments exactly. But I'm worried about what they might show in another trailer, if they made one. Think about it--there can't be much more to show that they haven't already shown in the past three trailers. I think they've already highlighted most of the combat funness. If they do make another trailer, it should show off Wolf-Link's combat capabilities, and give a few details on how they work. For instance, does the dash attack target enemies? Does it require any magic meter (as someone brought up before)? Can Wolf-Link use any other attacks, or is this one multi-strike dash attack his only technique? These are the things that I think the next trailer should highlight, should it ever be made. No major spoilers on plot twists for me.

About what you said here... If you want some additional information that has already been made public, but that so many people seem to have missed, then read the following spoiler. If you want to see whether or not you would rather read it, highlight one line at a time. I don't want to give it away if you want to find out for yourself. You say that Link's friend was kidnapped, which means that you probably missed this small point.
It wasn't just Link's friend, the little boy named Colin, who was kidnapped.
Remember Illia, the mayor's daughter, who seems to be infatuated with Link?
She was also kidnapped. The moblin shot her in the back with an arrow.
In the scene where Link kills the fat dude that kidnapped Illia and Colin... And here's the spoiler...
Link does not rescue Illia.
He rescues Colin, who was strung up on the pole. Do a frame-by-frame, and you'll see what I mean.
This is half-way through the game, as Aonuma says.
So you probably don't rescue Illia until near the end.
This is a big spoiler, people, so if you don't want to know even the beginning of the plot, don't read this.

Re: twilight princess is ruined

well for one you dont have to read articles or watch the trailors. secondly the game is supposed to be much larger then oot, so showing how to beat the first boss which everyoen could do extremly easily anway prolly isnt such a big deal. And nintendo still have so many secrets on the game

Re: twilight princess is ruined

How can showing too many trailers ruin a game? They've
only released 30 minutes out of a possible 70 hours of it! Yes,
they did show how to beat the first boss...so? It was quite
obvious anyway, the solution practically slapped you in the face
as soon as the video was released.

I did the same thing for Halo 2 and I ruined it for myself. Its a hard to choice to either watch them or not watch them. I only watch official Trailers and maybe a like 2 gameplay movies.

lol I was not going to go into full detial...

And I don't believe Aonuma meant the full game, I think you will find that he meant the e3 show floor... That sence was half way thru the showfloor demo...

Because it looks like thats the first boss he fights is that guy on horse back... then for some reason todo with the story line he starts going to the diff temples... One of the reasons I think this is because why show a sence which in half way thru the whole game at e3?
